I didn't want Lyn to worry any more so I am posting.
Everytime I sit down to post I cannot think of any worthwhile things to say. I don't want to just ramble... so I end up not posting anything, but I miss posting and I miss sharing even my aimless ramblings with my dear HSB friends. I also know that I tend to work things out in my ramblings!
Next week is recital. Its gonna be a wild week.
Starting tomorrow... I am going to try to catch up on the housework that I got behind in with all the extra rehearsals THIS week and in the evening I am going to help my friend practice recital curls on her daughters.
Sunday I teach Sunday School, as usual and go to church and enjoy worshipping the Lord with my family. The rest of the day will be restful! I will need THAT rest!
Monday Hannah has a rehearsal in Bremerton at 2PM. (The dance school wants them to practice on a full-size stage and since the high school where the recital is being held is still in school session they rented stage time at a different theater in Bremerton.)
My friend, Tanya is going to drive the girls to this rehearsal. Her younger daughter has stage time in Bremerton at 1PM so she offered to take Hannah and my friend, Diana's daughter, Gracie along with her girls, Kaylie and Sophie.
Then, when my boys get home from school I will meet her in Port Orchard for Finale Rehearsal at the high school auditorium where the recital is actually being held. That rehearsal will be from 5-7, I believe.
Tuesday night Kaitlyn has a Dress Rehearsal for ballet in Bremerton at 5:15 PM. I am planning on meeting another mom from Kait's class half-way and she said she will bring Kaitlyn to the rehearsal. My husband works in Bremerton, so he can probably pick her up before he comes home rather than have me run back out.
Wednesday is going to be the excruciating day. Kaylie, Gracie and Hannah have a regular class scheduled at the dance studio at 1PM. Then, Sophie has one at 1:45. I am driving for that one. Kaitlyn and Jordan will be a big help to me in getting the girls fed and changed. (I will pick them up from Kindergarten, so I will need to feed them lunch).
Then, they all have a full dress rehearsal at the High School at 3 PM. (I will have to change them into their costumes at this time.)
Then, Kaylie and Sophie's mom will pick up my two other boys from school and bring them out to me and pick up her girls. We will eat a picnic dinner and then Kaitlyn has her Dress Rehearsal time slot for Tap at 5PM. By then, my husband should be able to pick up the boys and Hannah and take them home and get them off to bed. Then, Kait has a ballet dress rehearsal at 7 or 8 PM. (I am getting conflicting info. on the time slot for this dance.)
We were originally told there would not be anything for our classes on Thursday, but just today it was posted that there would be an additional rehearsal for Kaitlyn's ballet class b/c they are still not quite getting it down. So, I will probably have to bring her back into Port Orchard for a 6:30 PM rehearsal at the dance studio THAT night too.
Oh... I forgot to mention... in the meantime, Ian broke his wrist last Sunday when he crashed his bike into his friend's bike accidentally. So, I have to take him to the pediatrician for a check up on Thursday morning and he has a special class party that afternoon b/c his teacher is retiring... so I promised I would help with that party that afternoon. Then, Friday afternoon Ian has a self-manager reward field trip which I am going to try to go to b/c I have not been on any of his field trips at all and this one is the only one I would be able to go to!
Friday night I will be spending my evening wrapping the girls' hair in spiral curlers so they will be recital-ready on Saturday.
Saturday they have to be to the dance studio by 12:15... we will have an early lunch with a friend of ours who is going to the recital with us. There are two recital halves and my girls are both in Part A on Saturday. It begins at 1PM. There are 50 songs in their part of the show. Sophie's tap song (Spoonful of Sugar from Mary Poppins)is #12. "Kaitlyn's ballet song (Breakaway from Princess Diaries 2)is #18. Hannah, Gracie and Kaylie's ballet dance (Paint with all the Colors of the Wind from Pocohontas) is #38. Then, Kaitlyn's Tap dance (The Bear Necessities from Jungle Book) is #40. After the 50 songs is a big finale with ALL the dancers from that half of the show. Part B of the show starts at 5PM... fortuneately,we are not in that part and go HOME!
Sunday, we have Sunday School and church (Kaitlyn is helping with the 2 and 3 year olds that day!) Then, we will have a short while to rest. At 2PM there is a homeschool graduation at church. We will swing by and give cards and offer our congrats and head up to the recital. On Sunday they switch Part A and Part B . Part B will be the 1PM show and WE will be the 5PM show. So... we are supposed to be there by 4:15. (We will pack a dinner to eat there) and this time Russ and the boys will stay home (they only have tickets to watch Sat. night) and I will stay backstage and help with the little ones in the dressing rooms.
The next day there is still school. As a matter of fact, Ian has his final 3rd grade field trip to the Seattle Aquarium and Russ is taking the day off from work to chaperone it! Ian is excited about that!
Then, Tues. Kaitlyn has dance portraits... 5PM for Ballet and 7PM for Tap.
Wed. is nothing... believe it or not! I will be doing laundry I am sure! Actually, there is a dance class on that Wed. and on Monday for those who will be participating in a parade, but we decided to opt out of the parade. Gotta draw the line somewhere!
Thursday Hannah has dance portraits at 1:45PM and dance will be officially over for the Brown Family!
Thursday night I have to be at the Elementary School by 5PM to help set up for Kindergarten Graduation. Did I mention that we are also going to bake 8 or 9 dozen cookies for this event?
Friday, Hannah has no school (Thursday is her last day), but Ian and Noah have a half day and that will be their very last day!!!!
In between, I need to keep up with my ebay stuff, housework, homework, homeschooling Kaitlyn and Jordan, regular life stuff, etc. Then, the FOLLOWING week is Kaitlyn's 14th birthday... so I will be having to come up with a game plan for her during this time!
The last week of June I think I will sleep... the entire week! Then, we will start our Summer homeschooling schedule!
Are you exhausted just reading this???? I know I AM!
We are still on target for our reversal to go on as scheduled in October! So keep on praying that God will guide in that area, as well!
I will try to post pictures later. I have some nice ones from Hannah's class field trip to the zoo in Tacoma and Noah's class field trip to the Children's Museum in Olympia. Also, I have picture's from hannah's class "Reading Restaurant" and Ian and Noah's Celebration of Learning and Ian's 2nd and 3rd Grade Concert "Westward Ho" of Pioneer songs.
Oh... and of Hannah's VISIBLE fish: Star... which is now invisible again after a swim down the toilet following his side-floating act 5 days after arriving in our home! I'll have to post pictures of him before he began to languish! He really was beautiful for the first three or four days and then he became pretty sluggish and that was that.
See... I told you I was here, but here is how my mind is working these days... on overload! :)
