That is a contented-I-got-through-another-full-day sigh!
Let's see...
I got the normal stuff done in our schedule, PLUS baked and decorated Kaitlyn's cake, mopped and vaccummed almost of the upstairs, made the final cushion for the bench, hosted a birthday party which started late b/c of construction traffic in Belfair and ended late due to accident-related traffic in Bremerton!
Somehow, I managed to get a heatlhy meal (chicken, couscous and salad) on the table only a little bit later than usual and found time time to read to the children before bed.
Oh yeah, and I cleaned up the container of red glitter that Hannah poured out when she was working on a little craft project today! That was fun! (Especially, since I discovered earlier this year that I am allergic to craft glitter... so I had to be really careful not to get it on my arms!)
Kaitlyn had four friends over. I gave them an All-About Kaitlyn Quiz. They decorated denim lunch sacks, made beaded bracelets, ate cake and ice cream, painted their nails (my dear friend, Diana, even did nail art for them!) and then let Kait open presents.
She got money (she is saving up for a camera), a handmade soft blue scarf, a pretty wispy blue and silver scarf, hair barrettes (also blue and silver.. two of her three favorite colors), a silver bookmark, and a silver and clear box for her trinkets.
Tomorrow I will give her the canvases we bought for her. I am sure she will want to get her easel out right away when she sees them!
I really will have to find time to post pictures soon... I have so many new ones to add!
