This morning, during our family devotions, I was trying to explain how Abram obtained righteousness through faith and not by his works and how God views Christians through the blood of Christ and that is why He sees us as righteous. Deep, weighty discussion actually... and suddenly, I realized, Hannah had tears brimming over in her eyes and her lower lip was quivering. When I asked her what was the matter, she threw her arms over her face and began to sob that she needed to ask Jesus into her heart!
Wow! That took me off guard. All of the other children became a little choked up, as well! I gathered her in my arms and prayed with her.
I know that she is just 5 and that while what she understands now is precious to God, she will learn many more lessons throughout her life. I am praising God for today... for this step deeper into a love relationship with Jesus Christ!
