My Dad is Visiting
My Dad is here visiting from Idaho. He arrived late Friday night.
We are having a nice time hanging out and visiting. Yesterday we went to see Superman Returns and ran a few errands. We went to Applebee's for dinner.
Today after church we went to a church picnic and have had a relaxing afternoon today.
Tomorrow, we plan to go to the zoo!
Tuesday I will make lasagna... Dad's favorite dinner!
Then, he will leave early Wed. AM. :(
Each of us got a gift: Russ got a new watch (which he needed!), I got a new memory card for my camera, Kaitlyn got the last bit of money she needed for the digital camera she was saving up for, Jordan got money towards the camera he will probably be able to get later this month, Ian spent half of the money he received on two Nerf dart guns... he is saving the rest for a down payment on a car (which he won't be able to drive for 5 1/2 more years anyway!!), Noah bought a new GameBoy game and a bouncy ball and still has $5 left. Hannah bought a pink child's size acoustic guitar that she has been wanting for a long time.
The children have been having a great time experimenting with Kait's new camera! It records short video clips and they have been making up commercials and telling jokes, singing songs, etc.
Hope you have an awesome Fourth of July!!!!

Thanks for including a comment about your dh. Let me know if there are any changes... I added him to the list of service men and women that I have.

I truly hope you continue a wonderful visit with your father in town. How Blessed to be able to enjoy one another's company and plan such fun events over his visit. I have just easily spent a half an hour browsing your blog! Wonderful pictures. You inspire me to be better about our schedule and keeping on top of things!! The kids look so great in your pictures, such joyous times and great memories. The girls looked beautiful in their outfits! I will pray that all goes smoothly for the rest of your father's visit and that all traveling goes safely. Thanks for the scheduling inspiration!!

Have a wonderful visit with your Dad. I love going to visit my parents. I feel just like I am a kid and they are working hard to meet my every need. I cry every time we have to leave each other. It has been so hard watching them grow old.

Jul. 4, 2006 - The Garden "in your dreams"

I think, if you did have a garden, the only unrealistic thing would be that you would have time to take pictures of it and post them!!! LOL
I have looked out at all the Green, thinking, WOW That looks great!!! I need to get some pictures - and post them .... then, when I try to get the brain power to do so, my body reminds me I was just on the tiller or whatever for 4 hours and says, 'No, No, No!! I don't think so!!!"
HA!
No, hopefully soon..... I will have pics to put on there!!
Have a FABULOUS 4th!!!
