I asked Noah to write a sentence with the word "germ" in it.
His reply: " I am German."

Kaitlyn's birthday party was over two weeks ago... and I am finally posting pictures!
The party started much later than planned. Unfortuneatly it was a bad traffic day between Bremerton and Belfair from what I learned later. There were three bad accidents and one included a fatality. So everyone arrived late!!!!

Doing a little craft project... decorating denim lunch bags: Kaitlyn is at the far end of the table. Allison is on the left of the table, Lydia is the one in the lower left of the picture at the end of the table closest to you and Hannah is on the right. (This is not MY daughter Hannah).

This project was a little messy... especially the GLITTER!

Then, they made bracelets... here is (left to right): Lydia, Gabby and Gracie (Gracie is my Hannah's best friend and the other Hannah's little sister! We call them big Hannah and little Hannah... I wonder how long they will allow THAT?)

Gracie and Hannah were honorary party guests!
In the background you can kind of see my newly completed bench seat. On the seat is Hannah (big Hannah) and her mom (my dear friend) Diana.

Here is Kaitlyn with her little cake! It was REALLY yummy despite the near diaster. I put the cake in the oven to bake UPSTAIRS and made sure to leave the downstairs door open so I would hear the timer, but I did NOT and the edges of the cake burnt. After trimming the edges, I cut the remainder in half and put chocolate pudding between the layers. It was small but really rich and delicious! And it was kind of nice that there were no leftovers to be tempted by!
After cake and ice cream we did the girls' nails, but I didn't get pictures of that as I was too busy painting nails! (Go figure!) We were trying to hurry too... since the party started late, Hannah (big Hannah) was in "danger" of being late for her last ice skating class...

Afterwards, I let Noah and Hannah paint. All was going well. So I started making dinner. We had one more guest still with us. Her mom was trying to fight through the remaining traffic to come get her. When she arrived I checked on Noah and Hannah and discovered that Hannah had dumped a WHOLE bottle of red glitter on her bag! Wow! What a mess.
I discovered last year that I have an allergy to craft glitter, so I had to be pretty careful cleaning it up. Right about THAT time my dh arrived home from work to a red glitter mess! Glad he is such a loving, patient guy! :)
