This morning, my dear, sweet Noah was baptized in water. I held the tears at bay until he returned to the pew in dry clothes with his tousled wet pew. I gathered him in my arms and hugged him tight and the tears spilled over!
When the Pastor baptized him he remarked that Noah had been in this church since he was just a little baby! Wow! How time flies.
Noah gave his little testimony before being baptized, "I love Jesus and I want to be closer to Him."
There were about 5 others baptized. Another child Noah's age and the rest were adults. Both are very touching to my heart, children who are getting to the age where they are starting to really "get it" and older people who have reached the end of their searching for truth or running from truth and have found Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life!!!
This is the kind of event that makes me sit back and sigh with contentment and wonder!

What a sweet picture :)
I found your blog from the Blessed Arrows list. You excitement over the upcoming surgery, is something I am waiting for! Very soon hubby and I are applying to be on the Blessed Arrows waiting list. Can't wait :) I think we will be using Dr. oh I forgot...Wilson I think? From OK. We're in Washington, but his price is the absolute best we have seen AND he does it as a ministry and that speaks volumes to us!
Sorry to ramble, I'm just so excited for you!! I have a blog too, over at www.homesteadblogger/homesteadjournal

I usually spend the entire time at baptisms crying. It's just such a beautiful picture of frail, weak humans doing something strong and powerful. Identifying with Christ. That's awesome. Congratulations on it being for your little man.

Good for Noah ~ what a special day. Marissa was 10 when she insisted on being baptized. She approached the pastor and did a Bible study on what baptism means ~ all by herself. I was pleased to welcome her as a sister in faith.

How precious! What a proud mama! *Ü*
I thought it was funny when you commented on my post that your children associate KoolAid with dough. My children do, too. We don't drink koolaid.
And how funny that we have the same dish towels. Funnier, yet, was that you noticed. LOL...
Have a great week!
