Today was the surgery day!
Dr. Wilson was great. He prayed a powerful prayer with us before the surgery, played praise music the whole time and talked to us about the saving grace of Jesus Christ!
He allowed me to watch part of the surgery and was very kind to both of us.
I had the chance to meet his wife and she is an amazing woman of God!
The waiting room looked as if someone had transported my bedstand books there! There were the two most recent Above Rubies magazines, Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss (which my 14 year old is currently reading) and Created To Be His Helpmeet by Debi Pearl. Which I picked up and started reading right where I left off at home! (Chapter 11).
Even the doctor's post op instructions included an instruction to inform him of any resulting pregnancies so that he can pray for the salvation of that child!
An amazing experience in every way!
Pray that Russ has a good rest and will be well enough to travel home on Thursday morning!

I'm so excited for you guys! I'll be praying that the surgery was a success and that you'll be holding that little one before you know it! Isn't God good? :-)
By the way, I love Above Rubies. I pass it out at my monthly homeschool meeting. Some like it, some don't. A lot of the stories are very inspiring.
Take care, and keep us updated.
Sally
PS: Thanks for your comment about church activities on my blog. We're still talking and praying about what to do....

Wonderful all went well! I am almost finished with Stepping Heavenward & was partly through Debi Pearl's book. I often start books & finish them many months (or years LOL) later... :-)

I wish our reversal surgery experience had been this heavenly. We were very blessed, though, with a competent doctor that went forward with the surgery (he threatened not to if he didn't find semen on both sides! Uhh!). We have had 2 beautiful reversal babies since! :) God is sooo good, and sooo gracious! It is so hard to imagine our life without our "extra" blessings. I pray that God continues to bless us - we are considered a "large family" now, and we only have 4! Heehee!
