Saturday was my 37th birthday.  My husband gave me my FAVORITE gift...  a day of SCRAPBOOKING!  The last time I had a day to scrapbook was Mother's Day.  So I had 5 or 6 months worth of new photos to sort and scrap.  I got caught up through July.  So I still have all of our camping photos, Jordan, Noah and Hannah's bdays! 

This gift requires my family to keep the house and family life rolling without my assisstance.  And it requires me NOT to enter the kitchen as I will get distracted by some project in there and loose precious scrapping time! 

My husband made homemade stir-fried rice and lime marinated beef for dinner.  It was DELICIOUS! 

Just as I was sitting down to start scrapbooking, Jordan brought me the mail...  and in it WAS MY OLD SCHOOLHOUSE MAGAZINE!!!! 

I literally jumped up!  Oh joy!  What a great bday gift.  I almost wanted NOT to scrapbook!  Almost! 

I scrapbooked until about 10 PM and then took my new magazine to bed.  I read Gena's section and then Jenig's.  Then, I read Jenig's again...  out loud to my hubby...  although I had to pause several times as my voice was choked with emotion!  GREAT article.  I think I need to print that one out and place copies of it all over my home!!!! 

Oh get this...  we have been discussing possible baby names (NO NEW YET... just IN CASE!) and my son, Jordan, suggested that if we have another girl we name it "JENIG"!!!!  Isn't that cute? 

Anyway, yesterday at church...  I received two more gifts... a candle from my friend, Cheryl and a back of PURPLE things from our Pastor's wife, Marilyn.  (Marilyn and I share a birthday and a love of PURPLE!)  The gift bag had a purple note pad, a purple pen, purple post it notes, a purple candle, purple lotion AND...  a bag of NOT purple lemon heads!  She scavenged "Intell" from my children about what my favorite candy is!

During church, our Pastor was giving his annual Children's Day sermon.  He has a tradition of  having the children in the congregation receive chocolate aas a reward for being the first to look up a verse that he will use in his sermon. 

This time, he also tossed into the congregation chocolate bars to children with birthdays.

WEEEELLLL....  my children and the children in the pew ahead of us (former Sunday School students) all began excitedly pointing me out as a Birthday Girl!

I protested that I am NOT a child, but Pastor decided to toss me a chocolate bar anyway!  Have I ever mentioned that I am not at all athletic and I am a TERRIBLE catch b/c I close my eyes and flinch!  Therefore, this Hershey bar whacked me right across the bridge of the nose.  So here I am in the second row from the front of the church crying and holding my nose!  Good grief....  how embarrassing!!!

After church, my dh took us out to dinner and we had a very nice time!  (Despite my bruised nose and my bruised PRIDE!)

Then, I spent the evening (last night) crocheting!  A few days ago I finished the afghan for cherylof5 from MOMYS.COM and mailed it off on Friday.  Last night I finished (well I actually have about 5-10 minutes of finishing touches left) an afghan for Brandi's little baby girl!  I will mail it off tomorrow (hopefully!)  It is pink, yellow, green and white! 

I hope this entry makes sense.  I am giving Noah a spelling test while typing this.  How is THAT for mulit-tasking?  Or how is that for indulging my HSB ADDICTION!  Should I feel guilty?
