My second just turned 8 on 11/11; same as your 4th this summer (though my stepson just turned 18!). It goes waaaay too quickly! Nice picture. And what's this Saturday photo hunt? I've never heard of it.
So, I got home tonight from my daughter's basketball game, and the kids got the mail. They said, "Hey! We've got two packages. One from Oma and Papa (my parents) and one from Amazon." Both were unexpected.
When I opened up the first, it contained old-fashioned candle holders that clip onto the christmas tree. They're very pretty, and very nostalgic. Mom sent one set to each of us grown kids.
The Amazon package had me quite confused. I said, "I don't remember ordering anything. Maybe I did, but just forgot." So, I opened it, telling the kids to look away just in case it was something for them. To my surprise, it was a movie, "Cars."
So, knowing that my brother had been shopping for us, I called him. He denied that it was from him. I figured the only other way to find out who it was from was to open the invoice and hope there was a message.
Lo and behold! Surprise of all surprises! It was from my sweet blog-buddy and kindred spirit, quietcajun! What a complete surprise! What a blessing! Thank you, dear friend! I will wrap it up for Christmas for the kids and put it under the tree. They will be thrilled! I know I am.
