Great Book for Taming the Sibling Rivalry "MONSTER"

Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends - By: Grace Mally

This wonderful book was written by 3 homeschooled siblings: Sarah, Stephen and Grace Mally. Each chapter includes a section written by each of the three from their unique point of view (first-born, middle child and youngest child). Then, each section is followed up by a Question and Answer called "I'm Perplexed" and "His Story" (a Bible story that relates to the subject of the chapter) and a Self-Evaluation Quiz.

I have been reading this book aloud to my children as part of our daily devotions for the past several months. On Mondays we have Bible Quiz so we did not read from it. On Tuesdays we would read Sarah's Section, on Wed. Stephen's Section, on Thursday Grace's Section and on Friday the remainder of the chapter.

We have LOVED it and it has certainly given us a lot of ideas about the causes and solutions to sibling rivalry and gave us WEAPONS with which to fight the GOOD fight.

I have already noticed my children (2 who struggle in this area in particular) making a huge effort to implement what we have been reading in this book!

I would highly reccommend it!

By the way, Ken and Rebekkah Mally are the parents of these wonderful young authors!

Sounds like a great book. It's good you're such a good mom to care that your kids respect each other as so many don't care and even encourage the rivalry. I'm grateful to have grown up w/ a s.i.s like you who was my friend and supporter (and still is)!

I've been thinking of getting that book, it looks really good. I'm not sure how long it will take, as my reading wish list is far too long! But it's on the list!

Your gifts look wonderful and I love the table setting for your mom. Looks like you have been busy.

We also read this book this year. It did help in some areas where my girls struggle.
