Another Afghan and Gifts for my GodChildren

This afghan is for Lynan's new baby (due in Feb.)!

These are the gifts for my Godchildren: Sierra (who turned 7 yesterday), Savannah (who will be 5 next month) and Logan (almost 2 1/2)!

Hello, thank you for stopping by the OneBlog. It was our pleasure ti have you...
To answer your question: I think Kaitlyn and your 12yo/11yo are plenty old enough to watch LOTR. The only scary images are the orcs, cavetroll and Ringwriaths... and maybe the scene with Gollum.
All of our young children (9,7,and 3) watch LOTR, except our 3yo (He turns his head when the scaries come on if we catch him). Ours little grew up watching LOTR for 5yrs now so they are used to it. It's considered a family movie in our house.
When I first saw it I was a little frightened by the orcs but as we watched I learned that aren't real and couldn't hurt me... now they're just movie props...
reading the books might help as well if they're scared at all. ;-)
Thanks again!

Your afghans are so pretty! thanks for stopping by my blog.
Garlic makes breast-fed babies gassy, which makes them scream all day- I've made that mistake. But the alfalfa, now that's worth a try, thanks for the tip.
And yes, it was a Pampered Chef cookie press. We didn't have any real issues with it, but there is a learning curve with any cookie press in my opinion. The cookies don't always take an even number of 'clicks' and you just have to kind of get a feel for it... some are 1 1/2 clicks... don't despair, try, try again... and have fun with it!
enjoy them,
ali

Hi Christina
These are beautiful.....you are clever! You call it an Afgan, we call it a rug! Strange I know, as a rug to you is something you put on the floor!
I wish you and your family a truely Blessed CHRISTmas and a beautiful 2007!
Love to you all
Fiffi and her family!
