These photos are from our trip last month to Pacific Beach...
We spent a day playing at this place in Ocean Shores that had Go-Carts and Bumper Cars. It was frustrationg for Hannah and Noah b/c they were too small to go on the go-carts at all and too small to drive a go-cart (although they could ride with an adult.)
Noah did decide to make the most of the quarter rides though... Here he is having a great adventure on a motorcycle ride!

He looks mad in this picture, but he was just making motorcycle sound effects!
Here's Hannah getting a ride with my dear friend, Diana.
Jordan really struggle with controlling the vehicles. His motor skills are very delayed with his learning disabilities (Asperger's Syndrome... primarily). But he finally got the hang of it with much enthusiastic instruction from the others!

Of course, he picked a yellow car (his favorite color) and the guy in charge had to stop everyone twice to turn Jordan around. He didn't purposely go the wrong direction. Steering was just hard for him. He had a little trouble with going the wrong way on the bumper car tracks too. I really debated about explaining that he has Asperger's Syndrome, or just letting it go. I chose the latter.
Kaitlyn had no trouble driving! She LOVED it... kind of gave me goosebumps to think of that upcoming driver's permit next year!

Noah had a GREAT time with his Daddy driving him around! They just laughed and laughed!

Ian is rather competitive and had a very focused expression the whole time, but smiled like a loon the rest of the day!

It was icy that day and the guys in charge had to put down salt before starting the cars!
Then we were very bad parents and took the children next door for ice cream and hot pretzels and never ate a proper lunch that day! That is definitely NOT the norm in our families (we were with one other family), but it was just that kind of a day!
