The next day (after the go-carts and bumper cars) was beach day. Our cabin was down the street from the beach, but the other family's cabin was right on the beach front (well-fenced in, but just a two minute walk around the fence and directly onto the beach.
Russ bought a kite, but I forgot to take photos of that. The boys were cold and and were just leaving the beach when I arrived with the camera, but I got a few photos first!

Here is one of the many treasures that were collected in pockets... along with a sandbox worth of sand (ALMOST!)

Hannah and her sweet, little friend, Gracie. Gracie is just two days younger than Hannah!

On the left is Bill (my friend, Diana's husband) with his daughter Hannah. (Yes, we both have redheads named Hannah!). Next is John (their oldest son) walking their dog Blackie. (They also brough their tiny, little Yorkie, Bella and we brought our Boston Terrier, Quimby.) The middle boy is my Ian and the boy on the right is Jordan. I guess I did not get any pictures of their other boy, Mark. I will have to go back and see. I did not upload all the pictures. There were just too many!

Sunset was remarkable that evening!

What a wonderful, sweet memories!
And this one is very dear to my heart...

You see, there is a whole story behind this photo! We traveled to this same beach several years ago. At the time, Noah (who is now 8) was not quite four. He hated the beach that day. He hated the motion of the waves. He hated the sand on his hands and feet. He hated the "scary" crab claw he found, he hated the sticky mess the s'mores made on his hands when we roasted marshmallows on the beach, BUT...
as we prepared to leave he found something to get excited about! He noticed his SHADOW and announced with great joy... "ILOOK!!!! I'm a BIG GUY mama!"
So, on this trip, we had to see if his BIG GUY shadow was still there! And it was! :)
And one final photo... This one I took to try to duplicate one that I took in the same location on that first trip:

Too bad Hannah looked down! The sun was in her eyes... it was so COLD that day that I did not take the time to check to see how the photo looked before we jumped back in the van! I actually took two other pictures, but this was actually the best of the three.
Hope you enjoyed sharing this beach trip with us!
