Wow...  this past week just FLEW by and I have had not a spare minute to blog! 

Kaitlyn finished her 8th grade Reading/English curriculum and was thrilled to be allowed to start Learn to Write the Novel Way (which I scheduled for 1 credit of highschool English Composition).  She is doing well in Math (finally) and scored a B on her test this week.  

The other children are doing better on their school work lately too.  They like the addition of an assigned composition subject on Fridays and Mavis Beacon Typing 3 - 5 times a week.  Hannah (the 6 year old) begs to be allowed to type. 

Today we got Jordan's new glasses from Costco.  He's been struggling with head aches while he waited for them to come back (we used the old frames and got new lenses for only $28, but that meant almost 2 weeks without his glasses). 

I had two special opportunities to visit with friends this week...  I had lunch with Heather on Thursday (which we had been planning for a LONG time!)  and I had an impromptu lunch with Diana and Tanya on Friday... completely spur of the moment.  Its nice that the children are old enough to be alone with big sister (almost 15 years old) for an hour or two here and there.

We are working on selling Russ' car...  I am praying that will happen soon.  It will be so  nice to eliminate one of the car payments. 

Boring post...  sorry.  More later.  (Hopefully more interesting!)

Not boring at all... I like looking into other people's life and seeing what they are doing. I like the idea of composition Friday. I have decided the act of composing a written work is an important step in critical thinking. Even if the writing skills are not very good, the act of focusin on a single topic long enough to write about it... something my lazy brain doesn't do without some reason, like writing a blog entry.

It's life! I'm glad to hear school is going well. Things are good here. I totally appreciate having an older sibling who can watch the youngers, I know you enjoy it as well. It also helps with the teaching when I can head smaller jobs her way now and again. Hugs to you!
