Happy Pesach!

Things are crazily busy around here!  Our new “Life-Skill-of-the-Day” idea is working out GREAT!  It is keeping me from spending more than an appropriate amount of time on the computer too.  So it is wonderful for all of us and more work is being done.  Furthermore, it is being done by more people so I do not feel like “THEY” make 95 % of the messes around here and I clean up 95% of the messes.  Do you know what I mean?

Anyway, with that said, I have not had much time to blog lately, but I have written many a wonderful entry IN MY HEAD!   I wanted to write about our Passover Celebration, but I have not had time to write.  Then, I remembered that I wrote TWO fairly extensive Passover entries last year to explain what we were doing.  So…  here they are:

An entry that details out what we do and why  AND a PHOTO essay on last year’s Passover Celebration.

I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane with me.  I am working on preparing for this weekend’s Seder today and tomorrow.  My Dad is arriving late tomorrow night, so if you do not hear from me again until after that…  Pesach (Passover) Blessings to YOU!

Christina,

Thanks for sharing your memories from last year. Marissa and I did our Passover on the Jewish Passover day. It worked out well that Passover was during Passion week this year. (Photos on http://acceptancewithjoy-trailjournal.blogspot.com/index.html).

I love your idea for the No yEaster Hunt ~ maybe not for next year. Marissa would declare herself too old and the other two will be too young... I hope I can remember it when the little kids are less little.

Here are the 4 questions.

1. Why is the bread without leaven, striped and pierced and what does it mean?

2. Why is it required that a lamb must die before we take of this meal and why would we put it's blood over our door posts?

3. Why do we eat bitter herbs during this meal?

4. What does the Afikomen represent and why is prt of it hidden?

May the Lord God bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, may He shine forth the light of His countenance, and bless you with His Peace. The peace that surpasses all understanding.

Pesach huh? I'm so glad to glean knowledge from other bloggers. I had no idea it was called that. :) Happy Resurrection day.

My name is Christina. I am 38 years old and have been happily married to my best friend, Russ for over 18 years! My username is quietcajun, but I am neither quiet, nor cajun! The nickname is based on my children's initials! The first four children are: Kaitlyn (16), Jordan (14 next month), Ian (12.5), and Noah (10 next month)... put their first intials together and you get KJIN (cajun). Sarah Hope is one of our babies in Heaven and Hannah (8 in September) is my youngest (so far). Put S and H together and you get SH as in SHHHH... QUIET. Get it? Thus, quietcajun! We are in our 12th year of homeschooling. We have tried public school, but we soon realized how important it is that they be HOME at all costs. Now we are back to having them all home again! It's not always easy, but it is for the BEST! Two of our children have Asperger's Syndrome. That is an adventure in itself. We are still learning! This blog is a place for me to sort out the daily joys and challenges of life as a mother and wife as I strive to love and know God more and bring GLORY to HIM in EVERY part of my LIFE!!!!
