I saw this MEME on Victorious’ blog… looked like fun:
Aprons? I do have one, but I seldom wear it. I should try to though, b/c I am forever staining my favorite shirts! I made FOUR for my dear friend, Tanya for Christmas.
Baking-Favorite thing to bake? I don’t bake often, but I do like cookies. My husband and middle son are the bakers in the family and they make delicious chocolate chip cookies.
Clothesline -Y/N? No, my dh doesn’t like them.
Donuts-Ever made them? Yes, when dh and I were first married and didn’t yet have children we used to bake together a lot. We made donuts, bagels, cinnamon rolls, etc.
Everyday-One homemaking thing you do everyday? LOTS of laundry!
Freezer-Do you have a separate deep freezer? Thankfully, YES! We use it quite a bit! It is an upright, so it takes up a lot less space and it’s in our garage.
Garbage Disposal-Y/N? Yes, we had none in the apartment we lived in while our house was being built and I was really glad to have one again… except for when I was repotting some flowers and got dirt into it… YIKES!
Handbook-What is your favorite Homemaking resource? I am not sure I actually have a favorite homemaking BOOK, but I do enjoy the resource of MOMYS.COM!
Ironing-Love it or Hate it? I don’t really like it, but my dh wears a button down shirt and tie to work everyday, so I have learned to do it as a blessing to him.
Junk Drawer-Where is it? We have several throughout the house, but the main one is in the kitchen.
Kitchen-Design and decorating? My kitchen opens towards the breakfast nook and living room on one side and towards the dining room on the other side. There is a pretty ledge that has a fake ivy vine and other than that the kitchen decorations change seasonally. I have pretty dish towels and table linens for each season. Right now we have out the pink, blue and yellow pastels.
Love-What is your favorite part of homemaking? When the house is clean and bright and fresh smelling! My favorite scent in the world is CLEAN!
Mop-Y/N? Yes, but I am doing it less and less as my oldest daughter becomes adept at it.
Nylons- I only wear them to church.
Oven-Do you use the window or open it to check? I open it!
Pizza-What do you put on yours? I love “Hawaiian” pizza, but when we make homemade we put a lot of veggies… yellow squash, mushrooms, black olives, etc.
Quiet-What do you do during the day when you get a quiet moment? Quiet? The only QUIET in my house is QUIETcajun! LOL… no really, I crochet, read, or go blog hopping!
Recipe Card Box-Y/N? Yes, it’s yellow and has a big thick rubberband around it to prevent all the cards from spilling out… AGAIN!
Style Of House / What style is your house? Our house is 3200 sq.ft. house. I don’t know what to call the style of it. I think its pretty classy and is in a nice neighborhood. We waited for years to have this home and God really delivered an amazing blessing to us! We have 5 bedrooms, a sewing room, a school room, an exercise room, 3 full bathrooms (one with a laundry room in it), a dining room, kitchen, living room and breakfast nook and a two car garage. We only have ¼ of an acre of property, but we are okay with that!
Tablecloths and napkins- yep… I like seasonal changes. We use paper napkins, but have lots of tablecloths!
Under the sink – Shaklee cleaners, microfiber cleaning towels, plastic bags, garbage bags, stuff like that!
Vacuum-How many times a week? Only once a week, but it needs it more often! I am scared to turn this responsibility over to the children b/c vacuum cleaners are sooooo expensive!
X's-Do you keep a list of things to do and check them off? I keep a to-do list in my Homeschool Planner. And yes, I check them off. I am pretty good about it most of the time.
Yard-Who does what? Mostly the children do the yardwork… of course, my hubby does the big stuff… like adding our new lamp posts!
ZZZ-What is your last homemaking task for the day? Cleaning the bathroom counter one last time after brushing my teeth at night!
