Bible Quiz Finals!

Our DYD awards the Fourth Place Medal for Individual High Score to one of "MY" Quizzers: Angelina.

Maria receives the FIRST PLACE medal!!!

Here is our team with the First Place Team Trophy!

Left to Right: Maria, Kaitlyn, Angelina, Jordan and me... (looking like a fat little elf or something! Can you believe that I wore a size 5 when I got married?)

We may not follow fashion rules (Maria and Kaitlyn are wearing white shoes before Memorial Day and Maria and I are wearing open toed shoes with nylons!)but we sure do know our Scripture! (Yes, me too... I studied hard right along with my team!)

Now that we have changed churches (did I mention that yet?) I will not be able to coach Bible Quiz anymore and I will miss that most of all!

I was 18 when I got married and I cringe to think about how little I was (waist-wise) But, our husbands adore us, so whatever. :)

I can so relate...

I grew up Nazarene and LOVED LOVED LOVED Bible Quizzing!!!!

I miss it so bad, and as my children get older, I miss it even more.

Why can't ALL churches do this? It is so beneficial. I have hidden so many verses in my heart from my EARLY teen years thru this. It beats any youth group type activity...(imho).

We can't go to a church just based on Bible quizzing, though.... shucks!!!

My name is Christina. I am 38 years old and have been happily married to my best friend, Russ for over 18 years! My username is quietcajun, but I am neither quiet, nor cajun! The nickname is based on my children's initials! The first four children are: Kaitlyn (16), Jordan (14 next month), Ian (12.5), and Noah (10 next month)... put their first intials together and you get KJIN (cajun). Sarah Hope is one of our babies in Heaven and Hannah (8 in September) is my youngest (so far). Put S and H together and you get SH as in SHHHH... QUIET. Get it? Thus, quietcajun! We are in our 12th year of homeschooling. We have tried public school, but we soon realized how important it is that they be HOME at all costs. Now we are back to having them all home again! It's not always easy, but it is for the BEST! Two of our children have Asperger's Syndrome. That is an adventure in itself. We are still learning! This blog is a place for me to sort out the daily joys and challenges of life as a mother and wife as I strive to love and know God more and bring GLORY to HIM in EVERY part of my LIFE!!!!
