Spinnin' a Yarn

Well, not really spinning... more like crocheting!

Here are some of my recent afghans:

For Dell's baby boy... did I already post this one before?

For Amber's baby!

For the newest "Dixon Chick"!

This one really has to be seen unfolded to be truly appreciated though:

Jacque requested yellow, royal purple and raspberry. I had to substitute lavendar where the raspberry was to be b/c the package of yarn I ordered didn't arrive. Then, a month later, the yarn arrived last week! Go figure! I really like the way this one turned out though!

My current projects are for new babies at our "old" church... a first born baby named Corban James, an 11th born baby named Clarissa Faith and a 3rd born baby named Peyton Ranae... all born within the past two weeks!

It has been awhile...a long while...
I love the new look here...it is very pretty and calming. I am glad your little one was ok...that is a scarey situation to be in when someone is choking.
The baby blankets are as always beautiful! What a blessing for the new mommies you are! :)

My name is Christina. I am 40 years old and have been happily married to my best friend, Russ for over 19 years! (It will be 20 in March 2010!) My username is quietcajun, but I am neither quiet, nor cajun! The nickname is based on my children's initials! The first four children are: Kaitlyn (17), Jordan (15 ), Ian (13.5), and Noah (11)... put their first intials together and you get KJIN (cajun). Sarah Hope is one of our babies in Heaven and Hannah (9) is my youngest (so far). Put S and H together and you get SH as in SHHHH... QUIET. Get it? Thus, quietcajun! We are in our 13th year of homeschooling. We have tried public school, but we soon realized how important it is that they be HOME at all costs. Now we are back to having them all home again! It's not always easy, but it is for the BEST! Two of our children have Asperger's Syndrome. That is an adventure in itself. We are still learning! This blog is a place for me to sort out the daily joys and challenges of life as a mother and wife as I strive to love and know God more and bring GLORY to HIM in EVERY part of my LIFE!!!!
