I, once again, have been slow about taking time to upload photos, but here are a few from my mom's visit!
These photos were taken the day she left. Here is Hannah giving her a good-bye hug!
And some more general Hannie cuteness:
Here's the Mom and the children (and the dog!)
From left to right on couch: Ian, Noah, Mom, Hannah and Jordan
From left to right on the floor: Quimby (the dog) and Kaitlyn (in case you couldn't tell them apart...LOL! Kaitlyn, that's for all of the gray hair jokes, my dear! :) )
Russ had already left for work when we took these photos, but I managed to get in on this one:
Mom brought me a lace tablecloth and a snowflake bookmark for my birthday! Both were very nice! I love them! Both gifts were very "ME"!
Speaking of gifts... check out the fun package that SuperAngel and the Dixon Chicks sent my way:
There was a skein of "plum pudding yarn", and lots of fabulous scrapbooking stickers and some scrapbook refill pages! I am so excited. I already used some of the stickers on my great day of scrapbooking last Wednesday (when hubby had the week off from work)... that was the same day that I got to talk to Amanda on the phone! (I always love talking to them!) I have made a hat with the yarn and am now working on a scarf!
It's a really good thing I was ahead in my work yesterday! When I was helping the little ones with homework around 4:30 my hubby called to say he was on his way home with THREE dinner guests!
This was the second time in just over a week we have had surprise dinner guests. The last time (last Tuesday) it was b/c I forgot that we had invited them over, but this time it was just my sweet husband's penchant for hospitality and generosity!
We made it work and had a great dinner. One of the men, as it turns out, is a homeschool dad who has triplets plus one more child! The youngest of the three men has two toddlers at home and the other has older children ( teens or grown, I am not sure!) It was funny to hear four men (my husband included) discussing diapers, breastfeeding and homeschooling! I was very surprised!
Today is going well. The boys are done with most of their bookwork and Kaitlyn just has a bit more also.
Left to do:
Kaitlyn: Language worksheet
Study for upcoming science and history tests
Jordan: retest for spelling
Ian: Journal
Penmanship/Scripture Memorization from Ephesians 2
I started sewing my mom's aprons during a quiet moment this morning and hope to work on that more later today after we do lapbooking!
