Our Thanksgiving Day Menu
Breakfast:
The in-laws slept through breakfast. :) That's okay with me. I wish I could have done the same!
The children had a choice of toast or cold cereal (which they prepared for themselves.)
I am not sure what hubby had, but I had a whey protein smoothie. Yum!
Lunch:
Salami
Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Butter Crackers
Leek Onion Soup Dip in a Sour Dough Bread Bowl
Broccoli
Lil' Smokies
Supper:
Turkey
Gravy
Stuffing
Yams
Cranberry Sauce
Oranges
Corn
Greenbean Casserole
Fruit Salad
Garlic Smashed Baked Mashed Potatoes
Martinelli's Sparkling Grape Juice and Cran-Apple Cider
Dessert:
Apple Pie
Pumpkin Pie
Vanilla Ice Cream
Peanut Butter Ice Cream
Cool Whip
I am proud to say that I did not overeat. I had a small taste of each food and did not stuff myself. I still felt full, but not sick-full. And even so, I took a nap in the late afternoon! I think its just a tradition. LOL!

Looks like a fabulous meal! I am hungry just reading it!
And you know that turkey makes you sleepy? It does indeed... perhaps you didn't overeat, but ate too much turkey and had to lie your head down.lol
Love,
Jocelyn

Yum! You menu looks so yumy and filling. I love peanut butter ice cream and so rarely have it. YUM! As I type I am eating turkey and stuffing leftovers.

Sounds great! How nice of you to prepare 3 meals. Breakfast is DIY around here too. Then I always plan to eat the main meal around 2 or 3, so I only have to cook once. They nibble on leftovers later, if they're hungry.

Your Thanksgiving sounded very much like ours! Although we did regular mashed potatoes, I really should try garlic baked, even sounds good. I'm glad you handled eating well without over doing it, wish I could say the same, but I'm trying. So glad to hop over and catch up!

I just passed an award onto you. If it is not the first entry it will be the second. I am hoping to post my Christmas lesson plans this morning if time allows.

Mmmmm...that sounds like it was really good!! Our Thanksgiving meal was wonderful, too. But of course the best part was that it was spent with family. :-)

Thanks for posting that info on Candex; it's what I've been hearing. I've already pulled Little Guy off it & will pull everyone else off it too. I've had Threelac here for a few days but haven't tried it yet; have heard varied reports on that one as well, but mostly good, so it's next on my "to try" list, however I'll go slowly. Thanks, hope you are well! Michele
