Our First Big Snow of the Season
We don't get snow like this even every year and SELDOM this "early" in the season. It isn't even TECHNICALLY Winter yet!
But snow it did...
Does this count as homeschool... um... teamwork, architectural planning and structual engineering!
Ian made a bazillion snowballs and formed them into a FORT/IGLOO! Kaitlyn was clicking back and forth between these photos (rapidly) on my camera and it was hilarious to see his head popping out the the snow cave like a jack-in-the-box. Kaitlyn joked, "Look... its Whack-A-Mole"! LOL!
Got to go all the way around the whole yard to find enough snow!
Rollin', rollin', rollin'... SNOWBALL! (sung to the tune of "Rawhide"!)
Wow! This little guy just never gives up!
Noah and Jordan's "mud man"! (Can't quite justify calling it a snowman!)
Noah attempting to make a snow angel in our neighbor's driveway... the only place he could find a big enough patch of untrampled snow!
Not yet to old to enjoy catching snowflakes on his tongue!
I almost expect a faun to enter the picture on the right!
Some of Kaitlyn's brilliant photography!
This is the same tree just a few days apart!

Two different sides of the same picture, I think! Jordan's nickname WAS Pooh Bear when he was little, but oh, wait... that's Ian! :)
What was Quimby doing all the while? Well, she hates snow and was warm and dry inside with ME!
Its all melted now... the rains started that afternoon and didn't stop until they washed away EVERYTHING in their path. There are still people without power here and our friends, Stan and MariBeth have fallen trees on their house and a foot of water in their basement. Pray for those who need help.
I am going to see what I can donate to relief efforts and Russ is going to take the boys to help Stan and MariBeth while the girls and I go to Kaitlyn's 2nd performance tomorrow afternoon.

I can't believe you had snow today. It was 70 in sunny SC. To be honest we have had 50s last week and I freeze in that kind of weather. I'm a 70s girl any day of the week.
About Zaxby's...a 20 piece chicken finger, 2 small cole slaws (for the ones who like it), 1 side of fries and a side of toast....that's how you do it.
Have a great weekend.

What beautiful pictures and a wonderful day of play! I will keep in my prayers those with power outages and the basement water, we SO understand those troubles, brings back our summer memories. Anyway, I definitely think snow fort building qualifies for some architectural credit!! :-D Merry Christmas to you!!
