Picture this:
We are watching a colorized DVD of It's a Wonderful Life and all of the children are snuggled up in their brand new Bundled in Prayer afghans! I promise I will post pictures later!
Kaitlyn's is a field of dark turquoise dotted with purple, pink and yellow flowers with light turquoise leaves. It is bordered with a pink and yellow ruffle. It matches her garden themed bedroom!
Jordan's matches his "map room" colors: cream, sage green and blue.
Ian's is sort of camoflauge to match his jungle themed room: cream and sage stripe (variegated shades of sage to forest green).
Noah has a castle room done up in black, burgandy and blue. His afghan is a black background with a large, burgandy letter "N" and is bordered with burgandy and denim blue.
Hannah shares the garden room with Kaitlyn. Her afghan is large squares of plum and pink bordered with a ruffle!
I even made one for the dog. It was actually an experiment. It is a dark turquoise diamond in the center of a light turquoise square... just a small, doll-sized one.
I sent afghans to some relatives this year too:
My Dad and his wife, Russ' dad and his wife , and my good friends Ryan and Tanya each got one. There are pictures of all of them on Bundled in Prayer.
I had an afghan that I made and sent go missing. Actually, I have been tracking it on stamps.com and it has been bouncing back and forth from Georgia to Washington for over two months now. I do have a mail recovery track going on for it, but I am working on a replacement for my very patient customer. Pray that the originaly afghan finally shows up!
Don't forget the contest on my afghan site. I have the replacement afghan and one more and then I have nothing on the schedule... you or a loved one could be the recipient of a FREE afghan!!!
I do greatly love to crochet & pray! I believe deeply in the power of prayer... not as a magic charm, not as a greed fulfillment hotline, not as a mantra of sorts, but as a communication with our best friend, Creator of the Universe, Savior and KING!
How amazing to understand that we are personally invited to make our requests known to the KING!
Can you imagine if the President gave you his personal number and told you that you are not just invited, but encouraged and even COMMANDED to call him all day long... and to talk with him WITHOUT ceasing! How much more should we be thrilled by PRAYER!!!!
Well, I am off to crochet and pray until the movie ends!
Blessings to all!
