Like Mother, Like Daughter
Kait caught this tender Mommy and "Mini Me"moment.
Drawing together!!!!
The finished product!
I SOOOO love having them home and by the way, it is official. I filed intent to homeschool and withdrew them from the Elementary school yesterday! They are loving being back home with the "big kids".
It is not totally smooth sailing. Hannah has a propensity to finish a subject and sneakily start drawing or something instead of going on to the next subject and today she was pretty whiny! I am also struggling with disruptions and discipline way too much during the day. I am trying to "crack down" on it, but it is a daunting process to say the least!
Today we have snow and my middle son was appalled that I was going to make them have a school day. What? Why would we call a "day off"???? We never have for snow before... we are much more likely to have a SUNSHINE day later when its Spring!
Oh well, all in all its not bad, just a bit of adjusting!

all the kids at home!
I have one of those sneaky I finished my work and now I'm going to quietly draw little girls too. I'll usually let her go for a few minutes in the hope that I am helping to instill a love of art, before I "notice." [wink]

There will be HUGE moments of joy and HUGE moments of wondering if you should keep doing it...
The answer is YES! You may not see the reward now, but just think of not only how they will grow up the better for it and how much your Heavenly Father is pleased.
Keep us posted on how it goes. And enjoy a Free Snow Day here and there.. they won't always be around to enjoy the snow with ;-).
Have a great week!

Thanks for coming by today! I am so glad that you were able to bring your babies back home.
All of my kids have webkinz now. I think that I got the idea from you originally! They LOVE their webkinz. My oldest has a koala named francis, Madie has the yorkie (that Gabe is holding in the picture) named fluffy, Gable has a polar bear named sugar, and Annamae has a rabbit named cotton. I'll tell them to keep a look out for Hannah and Luci!

You really do have a mini-me!
Marissa always wants to take a day off or start late when the public school has weather related cancellations too. The schools rarely close for snow here, but they will often have late starts for fog. I have told her over and over... fog delays only need occur if you are driving somewhere ~
We do usually make time to play in the snow the first time it falls ~ and sticks! It is only fun if you can make a snow ball anyway.
