Ian Turned 12 in December and a few other things...
As always, I am behind on posting pictures! Ian turned 12 on December 13th!
I took Ian to the coffee shop for a hot cocoa, but he decided on an eggnog milkshake instead! BRRRR! I would have picked the cocoa!
Then, we made Ian's favorite dinner, TACOS! Usually my hubby fries the shells... I am not very good at that... but since Russ was on travel in San Diego at the time Ian insisted on making them himself and did a GREAT job! He is a good cook!
Ian requested donuts for dessert:
We had a donut feast after dinner!
It was a lot of fun.
Not that same day, but another evening, right as I finished making dinner the power went out...
We lit a lot of candles (I mean like every candle we own...LOL) and we were fine, but at first the younger children were a little worried! It seems a lot scarier when the house is dark and Daddy is not home. He was only on travel for about 10 days, but it seemed like forever!!!
During that same week I finished several projects including good-bye gifts for Noah and Hannah's public school teachers. I started with spiral bound 3x5 cards and made a decorative cover for each one:
After making the covers with the children's photos the inside pages were filled with photos of the child and thier dictations about the photos and about their favorite things (colors, food, etc.)
The last several pages they were allowed to write whatever they wanted to write and draw pictures, etc. to say thank-you and good-bye to the teachers.
The teachers really loved them and Noah and Hannah had a great time making them!
In that same week I crocheted and sewed as much as possible! It was a busy and productive week.

What a nice idea for the teachers! Shows something really nice about homeschoolers too. My kiddos don't like when the power goes out, especially Butterfly (very nervous). Happy birthday to Ian! Looks like a fun, & yummy, b-day was had!

Christina,
I left a comment on Rachel Dixon's blog, too, mentioning you and the beautiful gifts. You have just BLESSED us so much. Susanna is ADORABLE snuggled up in this soft, satiny purple blanket, just like she is in the one you made her, too. Thank you so much for everything. The little girlies looked so cute next to each other holding their new matching outfits. You are so sweet. Thank you again so very much. I hope I get to actually meet you in person eventually.
Love,
-gena
