Well, I am pretty sure that title is too long and not entirely grammatically correct, but nonetheless, I have a bunch of misc. photos that I have been meaning to blog about, but if I do them one at a time I will NEVER be caught up to current day events around here! LOL!
First:
Hannie (age 7) spent almost an hour filling our large white board with this lovely drawing the other day. I reminded her that it would surely get erased and maybe we should take a picture so that she would not cry when the inevitable happened. So, here it is! I think it's a masterpiece!
This is not a super clear shot. If you click on it you can see it a little better. It is a photo of Kaitlyn singing oneof her solos that she was asked to do in December. She was very nervous, but did a fantastic job!
The picture on the right is of Kaitlyn singing with the choir. Usually, our church's policy is that you have to be 16 to be in the adult choir, but since we don't "do" youth activities and since K. is reliable (and talented) the choir director allowed K. to sing with them!
This is the scene from Celebrate Jesus. This is an amazing annual event in a town near our home. This church has a large piece of property that they dedicate to this use and many area churches come and participate in this event. It is live scenes from the life of Christ starting with the angels announcing His birth to the shepherds in the fields and ending with His ressurection! You can walk through or drive-through the scenes and the actor's reenact the scene over and over for each group (car or walking group) for several hours for several nights in a row!!!
The above scene is Jesus at the temple teaching the leaders.
It is a special thing our family enjoys doing and I almost didn't take the children this year b/c my hubby was not home (he was on Navy travel), but I am really glad we went ahead and did it anyway!
This was just a picture of another mini-me moment! I always marvel at how much Hannah is like me! One morning after I had allowed myself a little more time in bed to write in my journal I got up to get dressed and when I came back in I noticed this.... Hannie's journal right on top of mine on the headboard of my bed! She loves to write too! That makes my heart smile!
The next few photos are from a trip to the Pacific Science Center. We "road trip" there several times a year!
A bubble wall and a rock climbing wall!
TWO-HEADED? Too weird! LOL!
Noah loved that it looked like he was FLYING!
I really like that third one... I took that when we were waiting in line to see an IMAX movie (that was, by the way, a perfect WRAP up to our unit study on MUMMIES... LOL... pun definitely INTENDED!)
When we were in one of the larger buildings Ian was making shadow images in a room with some kind of special light, Noah was playing with a large wooden bead game, and Hannah had apparently shrunk:
Check out the size of this table!
Then, I suddenly realized I had lost track of Kaitlyn and Jordan! Guess where I spotted them?
BLOGGING in the computer lab! LOL! (If you look really close you can see Noah on the other side of the glass wall of the computer lab!)
Kaitlyn was reading:
I think it was a comment from Jacque!
Well, that about does it for the December miscellany! I will post some January pictures tomorrow before it becomes FEBRUARY! Good grief. We have already almost finished the first whole month of 2008!
That reminds me... tomorrow is the LAST day to enter my Afghan Give-Away! I'll be announcing the winner on Friday, Feb. 1st! Make sure to click on the above mint green link and enter ASAP!!! And don't forget to blog about it, please!
