Have I mentioned yet (or maybe you've read it on Ian's blog) that my husband got quads for his 40th birthday! His mom sent him a big sum of money and told him to get some quads with them. He was able to get 4 quads and a used quad trailer to haul them around in!
Here is Noah on Russ' 250CC Camoflauge Quad. In the background you can see Jordan (wearing the helmet) and Ian (who is looking into the gear pack on the back of the quad... that was MY gift to hubby!)
I kind of got a kick out of the way the goggles squished Noah's face! Shh! Don't tell him I said that. He hates it lately if I think he is cute! He is NINE after all! (But he IS cute. He can't help it!)
That's me and Mini-me... trying to stay warm. WE didn't actually quad. Hannie built a "fort" beside our van and I crocheted for awhile and read for awhile!
Kait was more adventurous! She usually is! She enjoyed it, but it was so cold that day. She was only out there for about 20 minutes on the trails and she decided to get back in the car and study instead. She accomplished some Bible, a lot of Science and a lot of History that day!
I'm not sure what was happening in this picture... just loading the quads on or off the trailer, I assume. I forgot to tell the part of the story where we drove all the way to the place to go quadding (about 40 minutes from our home) and unloaded the quads only to realize we had left the keys at home!
So we drove all the way back home and I was kind of hoping we would just stay home, but NO... we STILL had to go quadding! *sigh* Oh well! After quadding I did get to go buy fabric and yarn like I had wanted and hubby decided to take us out to Denny's so that was fun!
Here is Jordan! Jordan struggles with motor skills and motor planning so this was a little scary... for me anyway. But he did well. (Except when he ALMOST crashed into someone's parked SUV... or was that Noah. Anyway, that did make dollar signs flash before my eyes!)
Poor hubby, the quads are supposedly HIS gift and he spends more time on PIT CREW duty than on actually riding the quads, but HE seems to LOVE it and can't get enough of it!!! He even took Jordan in the SNOW last weekend!
Loaded back up and ready to head home!
Whew!
This is REALLY NOT MY cup of tea!!!
P.S. Today is the LAST day to enter the Afghan Give-Away at Bundled in Prayer. HURRY! And don't forget to blog about it, please!
