A Gift for RaisingArrows

You may have already read about the sad loss of RaisingArrow's 7 month old sweetheart, Emily Sofia.

The Lord has laid it upon my heart to make a BIG afghan for Amy and her family. I know it doesn't do much, but I want it to represent a big, warm hug. kwim?

I am willing to do it for free, but I was wondering if anyone would want to pitch in on it. I could make a gift card and sign it from each one who donates or they could send their own card along with their donation.

I could crochet little hearts and sew them on... one to represent each family that donates... and all of the loving prayers being sent to them.

I am looking for monetary donations to cover the cost of the special yarn and shipping costs. I think supplies and shipping will be between $55-$75.

What do you think?????

If no one donates, I will still do this, but I just wanted to give the option to anyone who wants to. Pray about it and let me know.

My heart goes out to this family, what a very difficult time for them. My SIL just lost her 15 year old son so I know that this is an extremely hard time :*(

This is really a great idea! So sweet!
Ya know... my afghan is a SUPER back drop for pictures. I love using it for that and also as an afghan... it is one of THE warmest blankets I have. I totally love it and am so glad I got it!
I put it in the picture just for you too! I meant to add something in my blog about it... darn... I will edit it though!

My name is Christina. I am 40 years old and have been happily married to my best friend, Russ for over 19 years! (It will be 20 in March 2010!) My username is quietcajun, but I am neither quiet, nor cajun! The nickname is based on my children's initials! The first four children are: Kaitlyn (17), Jordan (15 ), Ian (13.5), and Noah (11)... put their first intials together and you get KJIN (cajun). We are in our 13th year of homeschooling. We have tried public school, but we soon realized how important it is that they be HOME at all costs. Now we are back to having them all home again!
