It's been so long since I blogged I was not even sure I'd remember my password! Obviously, I did! LOL!
I made it through the 90 day cleanse and decided to follow it with a continued modified cleanse. I think I am up to Day 104 or 105 or something like that.
With this cleanse I have had some serious physical ups and downs. On Monday, I went in for a follow up appt. on my blood pressure. The doctor had wanted to put me on meds in December and I convinced him to allow me to try to lower it naturally. He made me promise to come back in three months.
I had forgotten that promise, but I had a spot on my hand that I wanted to make sure was not skin cancer (it wasn't) so I decided to go in and then remembered my promise to have my BP checked.
In the meantime, my doctor transferred (the joys of Navy medical! But at least it's FREE!) So, I met the new doctor on Monday.
She looked over my chart and was amazed that I had lost 25 lbs. since Dec. and that my BP was perfect! She literally congratulated me several times and told me that I was doing so great! That truly made my day and made the difficult months behind me more worthwhile!
I still have 25 more lbs. to lose, but finally my body is responding correctly to good health choices! Praise God!
February was a bit emotional for me as I realized that Baby Mara Serene would have been due, but God brought me through that as well.
During our morning devotions we have been listening to a WONDERFUL CD by Keith and Kristyn Getty. I love all the songs on it, but one in particular has been my theme song lately and I wanted to share it with you, my bloggy friends.
The part that runs over and over in my mind is the line that says, "At the end of my heart's testing, with your likeness let me wake. " May I truly become more and more like Yeshua, my Messiah. May He continue to break me and shape me into His likeness.

| "Jesus Draw Me Ever Nearer" Music by Keith Getty; Words by Margaret Becker Copyright © 2002 Thankyou Music Jesus draw me ever nearer As I labour through the storm. You have called me to this passage, and I'll follow, though I'm worn. May this journey bring a blessing, May I rise on wings of faith; And at the end of my heart's testing, With Your likeness let me wake. Jesus guide me through the tempest; Keep my spirit staid and sure. When the midnight meets the morning, Let me love You even more. Let the treasures of the trial Form within me as I go - And at the end of this long passage, Let me leave them at Your throne. |
