Good-Bye 30's!

I am FORTY today!

I think it is funny how so many people whine about turning 30, 40, 50, etc. I think it's great. I was excited about turning 10 and 20. Why not 30 and 40?

On the one hand it bothers me that I have not accomplished as much as I had hoped and that my health is not as good as it should be, but actually aging in and of itself is a blessing. The Bible says it is an honor. Our society belittles it, but then again our society has a lot of confused views on life, doesn't it?

I feel older. Some birthdays don't really make me feel different, but 40 already does.

I think it's going to be GREAT!

Well, that says it all. I should have checked your blog on your birthday. But then, I was celebrating my own 40th birthday that day. I think you are the only person I know who was born the very same day I was, what fun! I'm going to guess I'm a few hours older, though -- I was born at 6:15 a.m.

Happy belated birthday! I'm a year ahead; don't like it too much so far LOL...

I'm sorry I haven't checked in lately. I'm still on blogger but have moved back here. I'd love to be friends again here at hsb; I've missed the community & need to connect with others again.

My name is Christina. I am 40 years old and have been happily married to my best friend, Russ for over 19 years! (It will be 20 in March 2010!) My username is quietcajun, but I am neither quiet, nor cajun! The nickname is based on my children's initials! The first four children are: Kaitlyn (17), Jordan (15 ), Ian (13.5), and Noah (11)... put their first intials together and you get KJIN (cajun). Sarah Hope is one of our babies in Heaven and Hannah (9) is my youngest (so far). Put S and H together and you get SH as in SHHHH... QUIET. Get it? Thus, quietcajun! We are in our 13th year of homeschooling. We have tried public school, but we soon realized how important it is that they be HOME at all costs. Now we are back to having them all home again! It's not always easy, but it is for the BEST! Two of our children have Asperger's Syndrome. That is an adventure in itself. We are still learning!
