The First BIG Snow of the Season!

Here is a photo of how we are kicking off our Thanksgiving vacation!  I LOVE IT!

 

The snow started falling in big fluffly flakes at about 8:30 a.m. and by 9:30 when the children went out to play there was already at least 1/2 an inch on the ground.  It is just after 11 a.m. now and the deck railing has at least 1 and 1/2 inches.  I love those big, soft, fluffy flakes!

 

They played for about 30 minutes and then decided it was time for cocoa.  I love a cozy house on a snowy day!

WOW. SNOW! So many people have had snow already. We never get snow here until after Thanksgiving (at least). Plus, it's been such a warm fall. It's been lovely because usually October 1 hits and it's rain, rain, rain until May. It's raining today, but it's been on and off rain with some warm sun in between.

Your kids remind me of mine a couple of years ago playing in the snow. They are cute! My now middle girl has a pink snow suit like that.
