May. 8, 2008 - Olvera Street

After we lef the resort, a smaller group of friends and I went to a place called Olvera Street in downtown LA.  Turns out, a little piece of Mexico was transplanted into this place, and since it was Cinco de Mayo, it was a major party.

I was so happy to get in the old bricks, teal paint and cool textures places I'd seen in other people's photos.

The tiles were so cool, and everywhere I looked I saw something else I *had* to take a picture of.

This bell is on the front porch of the oldest wooden house in LA.

Somehow, all of the junk they were selling came together to form a perfect background.

Even the electric wires were old and grown in.

I felt like a puppet on a string all weekend.  With a king, loving, benevolent Puppeteer.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.  Ephesians 3:20-21
