Out in the Outback

Okay ,this will need a bit of explaining.

I went on a mission trip to Bourke which is 750 km out of Sydney.  It is a town that has a bad reputation for drugs and all that stuff. The town is mostly made of Aborigines. We told them about Jesus!

I  drove to Orange with Natalie for five hours and had Hungry Jacks for tea.

We slept in the Orange Church

Next morning we drove to Bourke had tea and we had our first rally it Rocked.

Day 1

We went to 2 rallies

Here is the tent where the rally  was in:

Tent

We did so much worship and praying on this trip it rocked

We were allocated in teams, Me and Nat were in team 5.

We had to clean the backyard of a ladies house and here is all the rubbish:

We had a night rally with a welcome dance from the local Aborigines.

The pile of rubbish

BTW me and Nat did everything together.

Here is a photo of us:

Day 2

We did the Oz kids program which was a program for all the little kids.

We sang action Songs like: Let Your Light Shine, Father Abraham, Who's The King Of The Jungle

The little Children were so cute,. I had one on my lap.

We went to the night rally and it was estimated  that 30 young and old Aborigines came to Christ in that one night rally!

Day 3

We had rallies

Then our team went to clean windows.

We came to the night rally and it was amazing. It had an Aboriginal performance by the local Aborigines. We watched a hip hop concert.

All of this had been a gr8 experience.  We got to hear a lot of testimonies and sermons by pastors including my own youth Pastor  Murray Walton aka Muz. The Pastor of the Apostolic Church in Bourke Pastor George, His wife Pastor Shelley and their Daughter also had great sermons to tell. It was an amazing experience. I think i have grown in Christ and learnt heaps about our wonderful God.

We went home.  I went home With Natalie and Cheryl (My youth leader)

Here is a photo of my youth leader and Natalie:

I loved this experience and would do it again anytime.

About 30 came to Christ? That's wonderful!

That's also a lot of rubbish... :)

How long did it take to clear all that up?
