Jan. 23, 2007 - hooked
My head feels like it's full of cotton. There's an empty, windy sound whistling through my brain. This is what happens when you don't sleep for days and there's not a single coffee bean to be found in this entire house. Jeremy...what did you do with the chocolate espresso beans!?!?!? Help me, honey...I need caffeine.
Why the sleep deprivation? I haven't been well for a few days and poor lil Gabe seems to have come down with some kind of flu/virus thing. He's not too bad during the day, but the nights have really been difficult. Why is it that fevers rise and coughs get worse at night? I don't know, but I think I'm going to make a stop at the health food store today and see what we can find to help him.
In spite of all this, call me crazy, but I am supposed to be staying up late tonight with Jeremy to watch old episodes of 24. For the first time since the "Friends" craze in high school, it seems as though I have become hooked on a TV show. We only have one station that we get here at the house, but we ended up watching the season premiere last week with my mom and dad and siblings at their house. The writers of that show take "cliffhanger" to a whole new level. We were hooked. So we thought we'd look into renting some of the old seasons. We've also discovered that we seem to be the only people on the planet who not only have never seen it, but have never even heard of it! LOL I guess that's what happens when you don't have cable.

We started watching it last year and we are hooked on it too We used to have a Bible study at our house on Monday nights and it always ran late. It was a little funny since as soon as everyone was out of the house my husband would turn it on.
