Apr. 20, 2008 - Expelled
Hey Everyone! Today my Daddy and I went to see Expelled.
Here's my "movie review" of sorts.
Expelled is a movie Ben Stein made that asks some very good questions. Why is it that (in public school and colleges) kids have freedom of speech in every class except Science? Why is it that teachers and professors get fired because they mention that Intelligent Design might possibly be the reason we're all here? Why is it that the Big Bang theory and the theories that me might be here because the right chemicals "were carried very slowly on the backs of crystals and were possibly electrically charged by lightning bolts"(NOT kidding. one of the scientist dudes actualls said that.) or, if it was, indeed, Intelligent Design, perhaps we were created by some very smart aliens and set on earth in just the right conditions. They credited these things as plausible, but absolutely REFUSED to say there might be a God. Ben Stein interviewed a bunch of smart people and brought up many good points. It's a really good movie, but don't expect it to be like the commercial if you see it. i don't think many people would, but just in case. The whole thing is basically a bunch of interviews. it was very interesting and it really makes you think.
ok, now for an update on what's been going on with ME. Uh... well.... er... OOH! i got something! we're selling our house. we're moving somewhere close, so there's no need to fret, people who know me in real life. yerp. we put the sign up on wednesday. and if i didn't already tell, abby and daniel took frisky to live with them 2 hours away. yeah. they're letting her stay inside some(she isn't house-trained and she never will be, she's older than me) and when last we heard about her abby had left her on the ugly couch (as abby calls it) with a towel and she was napping. when the big storm hit, frisky jumped the fence. picture this: an old, two-foot-at-the-shoulderblades dog jumping a four-foot fence and taking off running as fast as she can in no particular direction, being chased by my sister for a really long way in pouring rain..... yeah. ok, i better go.
