• Aug. 11, 2005 - Time to clean house.

After much thought and hair pulling I have come to the logical conclusion that my house is in desperate need of order.

So.... I've been pulling out all the heavies: Sandra Felton, Flylady and Emilie Barnes. I've started a notebook of what needs to be done and am trying very hard not to be completely overwhelmed!

Here is a good quote for that: "Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs." Henry Ford

Another quote I wrote down in my notebook today:

"He that riseth late must trot all day." Ben Franklin

And with that little bit of inspiration I shall trot out the door and clean my porch!

Rain, Put your name on your blog page so those of us who don't know much about this stuff don't have to go looking for your name. HA!

Loved your "clean house." Something I read in a Tarzan book one time (excellent literature, by the way; increased my vocabulary vastly!!) goes similar to this: "You can only eat an elephant one way: one bite at a time." That's how the housecleaning goes, one 5'x5' square area at the time.

Good Luck!!!

I am right there with you!
My home has become a disaster. I like your idea of just 15 min. at a time and will try that with my basement family room.
My husband is a great help around the house and it seems like we get one room in ship shape condidition and the rest of the house fell apart!
Keep us posted so we can hear about your progress!
