About this web journal
… What does this page contain? Just about anything under the sun really (with the exception of topics containing unappropriate language and content … it’s gotta be kid-friendly if you know what I mean …) Could be about what my wife and kids do that mystifies me, football (which on certain days mystifies me too …), work, money, hobbies, pets, music and pop culture, etc … I’ll probably even carry on about other peoples’ comments! Well, as you can see I need to say thank you to my wife for subletly reminding me that I have entries to post (I'm a guy/husband/father, what do you expect? I can't even remember what I ate for supper the night before most times!) Alright, back to the post now. Since I am male, I should delve into the recent SuperBowl champions; the New York Giants; and say Wow! I know all you female and non-football lovers will roll your eyes (yes, I know you did Dear.) They said this game was the most watched, so it looks like the commercial-making money went to good use again this year. My favorite would have to be the screaming animals in the Bridgestone Tires (or was it an auto ad?) Either way, it gets my vote. Keeping with the testosterone-fueled commentaries, our oldest has given a liking to the "American Gladiators" show on NBC. He was a little surprised when I told him I watched this show when I was younger. Yes, we did have entertainment back in the 1800's. I'm also enjoying it. They have updated the look and added water and fire obstacles (oooooooh!) and new "gladiators". Yeah it is cheesy, but it makes me wonder if it is fake (I was devasted when I found out pro-wrestling was fake in my younger years.) Our middle child has become quite the vocalist singing along with his favorite show "WonderPets" nowadays. So much that we may be having our first character-themed birthday party. My wife has taken great pride in staying away from this with the past birthdays, but it may be kind of hard now. She/we may get lucky and do a space-themed party if his knowledge of outer space grows. He has got to be the only two-year old who knows the names of all the planets in our solar system! And to keep with the bragging, our eight-year old just saw a play on MacBeth! Maybe it is because I was raised in the Ozark backwoods, but these kids are smarter than me already! One note before ending ... the caption contest is over and the messy one is speechless! Don't worry I'll be posting a new image and a new contest soon ... once I figure out what is wrong with our Mac (that's where the blog's build files are at.) And watch out I may be tagging some random people (you all can thank my wife for that!) Comments |
