I got this really neat little gadget a couple of weeks ago from the grocery store (OK, it is a Super Wal-Mart). I happened to see that it was on clearance, so I picked it up.
My daughter used it for the first time Friday, to wrap a gift. We made homemade wrapping paper from brown packing paper, masking tape, stickers, and a flower die cut. (It turned out cute.)
Anyway, this cutter made cutting that paper SO easy!!! Now Tiffany wants to help me wrap gifts, but she only wants to be in charge of cutting the paper. LOL!
I've always used my scissors, partially closed, to slide across the wrapping paper, cutting it as it goes. But many times the angle would get messed up and I'd end up with a jagged cut. This just goes across smoothly and very quickly! It should make wrapping Christmas presents go much more smoothly this year. (Of course I'll get some practice with it on the three birthdays before then.)
(Me and my dd, Tiffany on an easy to climb tree limb on vacation in VA in 2007.) These are my ramblings on homeschooling and whatever else comes to mind.
Counting Down
We are starting school, so it's time to look forward to the holidays!
