~ Nov. 20, 2008 - Bible verses

Posted By Softheart
here is some verses from the Bible about Leopards, Wolfs, and Lions

Jeremiah 5:6

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil or destroy them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goes out from there shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

Proverbs 20:2

The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provokes him to anger sins against his own soul.

Proverbs 30:30

A lion which is the strongest among beasts, and turns not away for any:   ( but lions will obay God
)

I will get more verses later

~ Nov. 5, 2008 - I want to invite you to a Christmas Party

Posted By Fruitfully in Homeschooling

I want to invite you to an onlone Christmas Party 2008 Hosted By Lilliput Station

Come in, hang up your coat, and join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Christmas is our favorite time here at Lilliput Station, so we like to start the celebration a little early. We'd love to have you join us for our second annual Online Christmas Party.

What Is The Online Christmas Party?
The Lilliput Station Online Christmas Party is a blog meme hosted by Melissa Telling of Lilliput Station Adventures. It is a way for homeschoolers all over the world to get together and share some Christmas spirit. It is a place to gather new ideas, new recipes, and maybe a few new traditions. It is a time of fellowship and fun, a time to share the love of Christ with all of our online friends. It is our way of making the season a little brighter for those we have never met, but still feel as if we know.

Due to the "busy"ness of the season, the Online Christmas Party will take place during the month of November this year. Hopefully this will give everyone more time to participate, and give us all more time to do the neat crafts and activities that everyone shares.

Good Afternoon Dearies!

Can I tell you how bad I have missed you guys? LOTS! LOTS! LOTS!

I have been busy editing and finishing up the huge list of things to do with the UHSE. Oh! It was the best ever! If you missed it, don’t forget our conferences LIVE ON! You can buy a ticket any time for years to come and enjoy every session because we recorded them. We have all of the doorprizes and special gifts online so you can dig in at your convenience. Well, except for the ones that I have yet to add. This year we had SO MANY that it is unbelievable how much more is yet to come! So, grab that ticket while it is only $40. After everything is online and I can take a breath, we will be changing the price to $99.95.

Back to what I have been up to… We got two simply amazing puppies and I have been training them. They have made me realize that it is not as easy to TRAIN babies as you think. Our older puppy is almost 5. I must have LIED to myself in remembering how we trained her. Ha!  Now, Ellie is fetching toys while Buster tackles and fetches her. But, we are making process in their knowledge that when *I* say their name they are to HEAR me and obey SOMETHING. Ha! We also celebrated our 22 wedding anniversary. Plus, we have had a couple of weekend getaways like for our anniversary, my son’s Airborne Graduation, and I also got to sneak away last weekend to go see my son at Ft. Bragg.  This evening my daughter and I are planning to sneak away and catch a movie—we get the popcorn and chocolate ALL TO OURSELVES. Ha!

Before then, I wanted to send you a link to a special download that I have prepared just for you. It is not a printable download, it is a quick mom-to-mom audio. Ok…it is not so quick. (WINK) you can download and take me on a walk…clean out a closet…or just kick back with a big cup of tea. When you tune in, you will see why it is recorded instead of written. It is a fresh word that God put on my heart this week. I hope it will bless you. You can find it at this link:

Or, you can download through this link (some people have a hard time accessing audio from email):

One other quick note! Tomorrow we kick off an AMAZING online seminar with Jim and Sheila Carroll. You can join us live FOR F*R*E*E*! Yep! If you cannot make it live or you love our audios by download and want the whole set, you can grab a ticket at this link:

Once you sign up, we will send you an email with directions for joining us this weekend. We will have a blast! Lots of great seminars. Wonderful mom-to-mom chat. AND the best gifts ever! Don’t miss it!

Oh! If you want to be there for all of our seminars this summer, we have a Summer Seminar Season Pass. You can get it and join all of our seminars this summer. Here ist the link to that:

Well, hope you guys have a WONDERFUL night and weekend. Hope to see ya in Talk-a-Latte for a bit! :D

Love ya tons!

~ May. 29, 2008 - Our Charlotte Mason Seminar is Next Week!

Hey there dearies!

I have SO missed you guys! I promise to be back on schedule this coming week with our ezine. I have many NEW articles that I think you will LOVE. My brain has been busting with thoughts while I have been editing all of the amazing audios from our UHSE 2008. I am about to bust to get busy WRITING! ha!

Today, I am coming up from my pile of "to-do's" to just
drop a note about our virtual seminar next week.  Smiley

We have planned an amazing workshop with Jim and Sheila Carroll from Living Books Curriculum. I know that every time I post about our upcoming events I say that I think this one is the very best ever...but this one IS!  Grin

Here is the link to check out all of the details:
http://www.cindyrushton.com/CM21stCentury.html

We also offer this study in our Talk-a-Latte Season Pass. You can grab that at this link:

Just in case you are wondering, I just got this question by email and I think it is a super question:

Quote
Hi!  This past wkend I downloaded the podcasts for Making the Charlotte Mason Approach Easy 2007.  My husband and I ordered our curriculum for our homeschool from Living Books Curriculum for this coming year.  I received an email recently about a seminar on June 6 & 7 that the Carrolls and you are doing together about applying Charlotte Mason's ideas to homeschooling.   My question is are these seminars similar?  Is there any new material you are covering that you didn't cover in the 2007 series?  I'm interested in listening and gleaning info., but I don't want to spend extra money if unneeded.

Thank you and God Bless!!!

LuAnne

Here is my answer:

Hi!

Thanks for your email. This is a totally different workshop. This workshop is taught by the Carrolls. Because of many, many requests, we are trying to offer regular seminars focused completely on teaching with the Charlotte Mason Approach. Each has completely new material. This one is very exciting. You can learn more about each of our CM Seminars at these links:

With much love,
Cindy...who is heading out in a few minutes to Ft. Bragg to see my favorite soldier! HOOAH! Grin
