Today is my first day blogging. I was reminded about this site by a new friend from church, Stacy/nitrocat. I had visited this site once before, a while back when I was reading Cindy Rushton's blog. When Stacy told me about the site this morning I decided to go ahead and sign up. I think it will be neat to explore the other blogs and meet new people. I am finally settled into my house and have time to expand. Eveytime we move, it seems to take forever to get out there again. This time around is the most different it has ever been. This is the first time in my life that I have lived away from the military. My husband, Brian is still in the Army, but he is away in Iraq for the time being. We moved our children to IL to be closer to his family during Brian's second deployment. We thought it would be a perfect oppurtunity for the kids to get to know their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We also thought that it would be a time for all of us to minister to his family. For the most part, this deployment has been easier than the last one. I remind myself everyday that the Lord will provide me the strength I need to be a good wife, mother, and friend. "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 |

We spent all day Friday and Saturnday working in the yard. We planted a vegetable garden and several flower gardens. I had to laugh, because eveytime we move, we have to start a new vegetable garden patch. You would think that I would say forget it, but I can't resist playing in the dirt. I love watching the new plants grow and take root. It reminds me that not matter what, we always have a new beginning. The Lord always gives us a chance to start fresh. The rain today was a good lesson for the kids in that God will always provide. He provided the necessary rain to the plants as he always provides for our family.
