My September Page

This is for school-

September was an eventful month at home, at school, and with family. My mom and I returned from California the day of my birthday. It was really good to be home because I had missed the rest of my family. Soon we started school again and got back into rutine. In history, one of my favorite subjects, I was studying ancient Egypt. My dad helped me study for a hard science test, and I got an A! Because we wanted to get our house in order, we decided to take a week off of school. During that week we painted and switched our rooms as well as organized the basement; a lot done in that week. A lot happened at church as well. The new Sunday school program started, which I really like, and our family got to share about World Impact. Friends from churchhad invited us to see a movie in town, and we went there again to see Kit. Being at home provided a show for us-courtesy of nature. Pheasants parade through our yard, knowing that it is not pheasant season yet, while deer frolic through the meadow on our property. We see evidance they like our garden as well as we do, though most of it is just weeds. I must confess that we do leave them left over apples from our apple picking adventures, as it is fall. Since winter is close, the boys are doing a man's worth of a job cutting, hualing, and stacking wood-somthing we would never have thought of in L.A. Yes, as you see we had a very full month of September, yet a very fun one, and hope that October is the same.

Andrew

So I just wanted to say that I have not been blogging because we only had one computer with internet. I know that doesn't seem bad, but it was being used by my mom and dad for adoption stuff. For that I didn't care, I'd much rather have a new brother or sister than computer time!!

So as that was going well, time approched for some (my mom and me) went to were the birthmom was to wait with my cousins' house. That was so fun to be with them since we don't often see them. We went shopping for baby things and even went to the Winchester Mystery house, bowling, and ice skating TWICE!! They said it was part of my birthday present from them. I love them!

Well if you haven't read my mom's wonderfully kept blog, shame on you. Just kidding!

Andrew is not with us today. I miss him, though I never knew him on this earth. I am greatful for all of the prayers. God is helping us through it.

           GOD IS GOOD!!!!!

Mother?

Posted in Monkey

Only a month old, a small monkey tried to reach a clump of bananas on a short tree. At first the poor girl hopped under it but the bananas stayed out of her reach. She then paused to watch other lucky monkeys her age on the backs of their mothers. The skillful mothers would climb up the trunk of a tree, pick a banana, and pop it into her baby's open mouth. The sad monkey, who had forgotten the bananas dangling above her head, wondered suddenly where  her  mother was.

Just Grass

You think I am just a blade of grass huh? Well I'll tell you how wrong you are. I once stopped a robber when the police could not. True, I got injured doing it, but I call it a glory scar. In fact I may even tell you about that sometime. Just not right now. I have to go back to work. There are still robbers in the world.

The Picnic- Part 2

Before you read this please read The Picnic- Part 1 .

I can't believe my eyes. It looks more like a carnival is going on than a picnic. Kids are running around and flapping their arms as if they're chickens. Don't these mothers have control over their own children? They're just sitting on some benches talking, completly ignoring their rowdy kids. Take those boys, eating hot dogs with mustard all over their faces.

Can't they chew with their mouths closed? Some children are stepping on empty soda cans and creating such a horrible racket. My eardrums hurt from listening to the shouts and screams of these kids. I didn't even know they were capable of producing sounds that loud. They're louder than a train's whistle.

These people must have burnt down a whole forest to make the air this smoky. It makes me sick to smell all those blackened hot dogs.

Whose point of veiw do you yourself feel it resembles?

The Picnic- Part 1

This is a piece I wrote for my writing strands.

As I pushed some children on the swings, I looked around for my own. Anna and Hailey were waiting for their turn on the slide as such good little girls should. I scanned the sea of swirling color again for Jack. Then I spotted his smiling face as he ate yet another hot dog.

My attention turned back to the little girl I was pushing, but in a moment it soon wandered again. The sound of gigling girls and boys telling jokes was so amusing to listen to. Some women's chatter also filled the air.

The scent of hot dogs cooking made me hungry. What I liked best was the tantilizing aroma of cookies and cakes on the dessert table. That along with the smell of soda was enough to make me say that this was the best picnic ever.

This is supposed to be from the point of veiw of a mother enjoying the picnic. What do you think?

Alex the Fish-tronaut

This is a short, silly story I wrote a while ago.

Once upon a time, there lived a fish named Napoleon Dynamite Alexander the Great Jr. after his father, Napoleon Dynamite Alexander the Great Sr., but his friends all called him Alex. He lived in a normal fish tank with other normal goldfish. His owner worked for N.A.S.A.

One day Alex's owner, Mr. Smith, noticed something about Alex. Spots! He took Alex to the vet right away.

"Vet! Vet!" he cried, "I think my fish is sick!"

"Sir," The vet replied, "It seems your fish is H2O intolerant."

           "What ?!" said Mr. Smith.

"Alergic to water. And I am afraid I can't help him." replied the vet. Mr. Smith thanked him and went home.

As he walked home, Mr. Smith had an idea. "I can send Alex to space! Then he can be a fish-tronaut! Alex is saved!" he thought.  So Alex was on the next space shuttle. 3..2..1..BLASTOFF! Alex was on his way.

Alex had a great time in space. He could ride on astroids and comets and "walk" on the moon. Everybody lived happily ever after.

        The End

Like I said, this is a short, silly story but I hope you liked it.

No Color

One morning, as I woke up, yawning, streaching, and blinking my sleepy eyes, I sensed something was different. To tell it simply, something was. Everything was pure white, save their jet black outlines and grey shadows. I felt as if I was stuck between the pages of a brand new coloring book.

I got up quickly and looked in the mirror. What I saw, which supposedly was my reflection, was very alarming. Staring back at me was a pale white figure with a dark black outline and a very suprised look on her face.

Suddenly, I heard a scream from my sister's room. Of course I ran in just to find her room in the same dismal whiteness. That's when I saw it. The solution, I mean. There on her floor were her crayons, colored pencils, and paints all in beautiful color!

The president must have found out too, because everyone got the day off to bring back color to the land. But, of course, he didn't have to color anything, because he lived in the white house. At the end of the day just about everything was back to their beautiful colors.

Since then, every year we have a coloring holiday where everyone takes the day off to color.

I hope you enjoyed this story. Feel free to leave comments, and to point out any mistakes.
