10 Things We'll Miss about the Poconos

  1. Wonderful friends, of course.
  2. Plenty of forest, pond, and open fields for nature study.
  3. Plenty of trails for walks.
  4. Summer camp season (Jason has been working at a camp, conference and retreat center), campers, and camp counselors.
  5. Gables -- the outdoor ice-cream and fast food joint with the big playground.
  6. My midwife, the kids pediatrician, and our dentist (finding new doctors is such a pain).
  7. The view from the living room window.
  8. The sweet, fresh smell of the air in the evening.
  9. The quiet.
  10. Good ole diner food.

10 Things I Think We'll Love about Maryland

  1. Living near the ocean/bay.
  2. Living near the National Zoo (FREE!).
  3. Living near all those wonderful free museums in DC.
  4. Cultural events on The Mall.
  5. Finding a great church.
  6. Who I THINK I will choose as my NEW midwife (and the accompanying, home-like birthing center).
  7. Access to Popeye's chicken and Chic-Fil-A.
  8. Young families for neighbors.
  9. Daddy home for about 60hrs. STRAIGHT EVERY weekend and at home FOR GOOD BY 6:00pm EVERY evening (not to mention "Family Hours" in the summer!).
  10. Smaller house + smaller yard = simplicity of sorts.
