Back in Aug. I decided to attempt to make a topiary. It is a snail. When my husband saw it, he said "I thought you wanted to get rid of the snails in your garden? Why are you making a Huge Snail statue for them to come and admire?"
This is what it looked like on Aug. 20th 2007

I took these photos today. The color on these is more true, I have no idea why the container is that light turquoise type of green in the previous photo.

This is from the front, I notice I need to "fix" the position of his eyes! The right eye is not on straight!

Here is another on from the front. 
Hopefully when he is all filled in he will have a varigated Ivy shell, and his head and tail with be a darker smaller leaf solid green ivy. Anyhow that was my plan.
I think I will name him "Shablul" (one of the Hebrew words for snail. )

No, we didin't see any turtles there. We did see a snaping turtle in our yard yesterday.
