A Love Song
|
A Love Song
I sing a song//
A song of praise//
To the one who made it all//
Gave it all//
To be one of us//
But in those times//
Those trials and miles//
I can’t endure//
I wonder why he did it//
I did it for you//
I did it for them//
I did it because I love you//
And I didn’t want to go an eternity without you//
I don’t understand//
How it happens//
Or why it does//
But I always know//
That it happens for a reason//
Everything in a season//
Is for a reason//
For my glory//
For the coming kingdom//
And if it hurts//
I will take it away in time//
I will walk in his light//
And follow him//
Wherever he goes//
I will not be strayed//
Though I will face troubles//
In this life//
I will not walk away//
I will show all the love//
Mercy and grace//
He pours out on our souls//
I will guide all of those//
He brings into my life//
I will help to the best//
Of my ability//
And I won’t give up//
This is the reason//
I came back for you//
And though you are hurting//
It will not last//
Please take my hand//
And follow me//
To the Promised Land// |

Take the Plunge
|
Take the Plunge
Why does it feel//
Like I’m always on the outside//
Looking in on a dream//
I can see inside//
See everything that’s going on//
But I can’t touch it//
I can’t fix what’s going wrong//
Why don’t you come back?//
Why don’t you take that step?//
It’s so easy//
And I don’t care//
What hurt you have//
It’s all been forgiven//
Take the, Plunge!//
Take the, Plunge!//
Step off the edge//
And fall in my arms//
I’ll fix you right up//
And put you back down//
And I’ll say that you’ve come home!//
My heart breaks when you hurt//
It’s so hard not to comfort you//
But you know I could//
Come home!//
Come home!//
My arms are wide//
My mercy is ready//
To shower you and cleanse you of the sin you’re in//
Please let me in//
I’m knocking//
Waiting just outside the door//
I can’t stand not being able to help//
When it could be so easy to help you out of your misery//
Take the, Plunge!//
Take the, Plunge!//
Step off the edge//
And fall in my arms//
I’ll fix you right up//
And put you back down//
And I’ll say that you’ve come home!//
All of my mercy//
My grace and my love//
Are just waiting for that one step//
You know that you want to//
All your pain could be gone//
So run to my arms and hold me close//
Take the, Plunge!//
Take the, Plunge!//
Step off the edge//
And fall in my arms//
I’ll fix you right up//
And put you back down//
And I’ll say that you’ve come home!// |

One more thing...
Okay, something that I forgot to state anywhere in here is that these songs are original songs (okay, right now they're only lyrics, but you get the idea) and should not be copied or re-printed in any form or fashion, and that all rights are reserved. I know a friend who is going to help me get a little banner or something to say that this stuff is copywrited, so in the meantime please don't copy any material on this blog. Thanks! :D

Album Cover

Okay, so again, I did this in paintshop, and it's the cover for the first album called "Scream it from the Mountain". Scream was much more definitive than shout, and so I opted for that. I'd like it to be noted that some of the song names, this album cover and possibly the name of the band may change and nothing is definite. |

The Logo

Okay, so this is the Logo for "Recieving Sight". Yes, I used paintshop to do this, so it's an original. |

Soothing Escape
|
Soothing Escape
The screams and//
The shouts are//
Too much for me//
The weight of//
Commotion//
Brewing down below//
Is crushing me//
Pulling me apart//
I cover my ears//
And the noise fades//
And I drift away//
Far away//
From the confusion//
***
A hand//
Reaches for you//
Asking//
Pleading//
For you to follow//
He will guide you//
Set you free!//
Be awed by his mercy//
Bask in his grace//
And find escape//
***
Suddenly//
I hear//
A car door//
Slamming//
I run out to see//
Who it is this time//
Leaving me//
In my misery//
It’s too late//
I can’t see//
Who abandoned me//
I fall to the ground//
Fear all around//
Closing in on me//
***
A ray of light//
Pierces//
Through the veil of darkness//
That hand of hope//
Reaches down//
I hear a voice//
Soft and cool//
***
I will be there//
I will guide you//
Take my hand//
Trust in me//
I am there//
When you fall//
I’ll dust you off//
Sit you back down//
And walk with you//
Through this life you live//
***
I feel peace//
No more pain//
What he did//
On that cross//
Was more than I can pay//
I will follow him//
To my grave//
Through thick and thin//
All the way!//
***
A hand//
Reaches for you//
Asking//
Pleading//
For you to follow//
He will guide you//
Set you free!//
Be awed by his mercy//
Bask in his grace//
And find escape//

My Savior
|
My Savior
I stand here in my room//
Watching and waiting//
Waiting for someone to come//
But no one does//
Why does it hurt?//
Why am I so broken here inside?//
I thought you loved me!//
I thought you cared!//
You don’t know//
You don’t understand!//
But then I feel a hand//
A hand of love//
Someone here to take me from this misery //
I’m drowning in!//
I know he loves me//
And he’ll stay by me//
Through all my faults and failures//
I get up from my tear stained bed//
And walk to my window//
I look to the sky//
And I smile//
My worries are gone//
He took them away//
He makes me feel wanted//
And loved//
Something you never did!//
And he will be there//
Even when I cry//
He is my shoulder to cry on!//
I say!//
Where were you?//
I say!//
Where did you go when I needed you?//
I waited for you to show//
I watched hour by hour//
And you never came!//
He is there//
When I need him//
He comes!//
When I call!//
He is my rock//
My shelter//
My deliverer//
And everything//
That you weren’t//
He is there//
When I call//
I can cry on his shoulder//
He lifts me up//
When I’m down//
And doesn’t look down on me!//
I hope//
That you see//
He means more to me//
Than the world//

The Cry of the Unborn
|
The Cry of the Unborn
I, lie awake in my bed//
Wondering why I have not slept//
A, soft and subtle voice sings through the darkness//
Voice: I, could have been a doctor, a lawyer or a surgeon//
But my life was cut short//
Snatched from the maker’s hand//
Suddenly, more voices join//
Crying out their plea//
Pre Chorus
Oh Lord, what can I do?//
Lord, what can I say?//
The voices cry out for justice they have not received//
Though I know not what I can do I will stand for them//
Main Chorus
The cry of the unborn child rings forth out of the darkness//
Asking to save those who have no voice//
“Protect them,” they cry//
“Give them hope!”//
“Make known their voice and speak for them…tonight!”
My eyes open wide//
My mind races through the dark//
Something I cannot see is killing me//
Taking my life apart//
Tell me, what did I do to you//
That you hate me this way//
Ending my chances before//
They even have a chance to start!//
Sometimes I wish I could have held your hand//
Or maybe heard you call my name//
But as it is I've died alone//
Called a nameless inconvenience//
If I'd been born they'd have called it a murder//
You'd had a trial by jury//
But as it is, they call it a choice//
You can do what you like with me!//
Pre Chorus
Oh Lord, what can I do?//
Lord, what can I say?//
The voices cry out for justice they have not received//
Though I know not what I can do I will stand for them//
Main Chorus
The cry of the unborn child rings forth out of the darkness//
Asking to save those who have no voice//
“Protect them,” they cry//
“Give them hope!”//
“Make known their voice and speak for them…tonight!”
We kill these children//
And call it choice//
No one knows//
No one cares//
Who will speak for them?//
Who will stand and declare this injustice?//
Pre Chorus
Oh Lord, what can I do?//
Lord, what can I say?//
The voices cry out for justice they have not received//
Though I know not what I can do I will stand for them//
Main Chorus
The cry of the unborn child rings forth out of the darkness//
Asking to save those who have no voice//
“Protect them,” they cry//
“Give them hope!”//
“Make known their voice and speak for them…tonight!”
Main Chorus
The cry of the unborn child rings forth out of the darkness//
Asking to save those who have no voice//
“Protect them,” they cry//
“Give them hope!”//
“Make known their voice and speak for them…tonight!” |

Who We Are...
The Blog Controling Person here! Okay, this blog was created and dedicated to two things/people. One, it was dedicated to the band Recieving Sight (go figure :D) and all the members of the band so that we could put songs we were working on here for feedback as to how they'll work, and if possible we might put some demo samples or something of our music (if we can figure it out :D). The second (he should probably be first) is our Father, Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ. We can give glory to Him for inspiring us in our work, and only through Him would we be able to do this. We'll also post progress on gigs that we put on, how they went and maybe video if we can figure out how to do that too. Ciao for now!
