Today marks 7 more sleeps until Ed and Sky return home to us...Yesterday was a pleasantly low key day for us as we didn't have to sit with Bea so we got to stay home all day. The snow and wind was intense and made for bad road and visibility issues. We had 2 of Kate's friends come over while their mom worked (school is out this week) and so they baked cookies and played together for the day. We had youth group here which allowed Mr. Connor to fix my snowblower sheer pin just in time to take down the 5 foot snow drifts that built up over the past 24 hours in the yard. I go up early this morning to get them down before we had to be at the barn to help host a 4H tour. The gas ran out and I had a terrible time getting the gas cap off - even had Mr. Clark try but alas, only a heated comfy cozy placed on the top - coaxed it off. The barn had 2 new mother/lamb combos - one had triplets and one had twins. Kate went early to help clean the barn and helped get the triplet lambs to nurse off their mother as she was rejecting them and their triplet was trying to die but was brought from the brink by a little TLC from Mrs. Clark and Kate. We had a nice sleigh ride on resident mule, Bea, and then we picked up Ethan's friends to spend the night before coming home. I have not been feeling well so got into bed and have barely been out all day - did manage to make homemade pizza and get the kids in bed. Tomorrow is church in the AM and dinner with friends in the PM. Hope to squeeze in a nap somewhere in there!
