O.K. so I was over at Stacys today. (We get together for lunch with all our kiddos on Wednesdays and always have a good time
it is crazy with 6 kids 5 and under but it's great.) We were talking about how we are doing accomplishing our 18 in 90 goals. It was interesting how similar our accomplishments are going. Weve both had very little trouble doing the things that have to do with relationships, the things to do in the room. (Read this, this and this post if you have no idea what Im talking about.) But the organizing goals, the things we hope to accomplish to the rooms
well, weve both had trouble even starting. I mean lets face it: with young children, its hard enough to accomplish the basics (dishes, laundry, vacuuming etc.) let alone embark on an organizing project.
So, we came up with a plan to jumpstart our organizing. On Wednesday of next week, Stacy will bring her sweet kids over to my house and then return to her house. She will have 2 hours to work on her organizing projects without any little helpers. Then she will come back and pick up her kids and bring em home for naps. Then after naptime (there is rarely any good reason to miss out on this lovely part of the day J) I will bring my kids to her and come home to organize for a few hours. I am absolutely giddy about it! I know that Ill be able to get a ton done with some focused solitary time! The only thing that would make this plan better is if a) we lived closer than 20 minutes apart or b) if either one of us had a van big enough for all the kids.
If you can do something like this to give your list a boost, than go for it. Think outside of the box. And let us know how it goes! Theres nothing better than crossing things off a list!
Well, maybe a bowl of ice cream.
