It was a summer day and we were at a picnic. I walked into the group not knowing a soul. I was very anxious. I was in sixth grade and this was a middle school youth group function. Of course I was nervous. She walked right up to me, introduced herself and instantly made me feel comfortable. Stacy has been my very best friend since that day many, many years ago.
Stacy is one of the most giving people I know. Not only did she pass the best notes in high school, but even at this young age she was always willing to encourage, pray for and share scripture with me.
We lived together in college and I benefited from her lending of clothes and her sisterly love. Stacy was who I ran to when my boyfriend (whom Id thought I would marry) broke up with me and she was by my side the day I married the man God lovingly had in mind.
Stacy is the truest bosom friend anyone could have and it is the same qualities that I have benefited from in being her friend that make her an excellent mom.
Stacy is a cheerleader to her kids like no one Ive ever seen. She encourages constantly. She serves and gives to her family without ceasing. She plays and laughs hard. She disciplines and trains but most important of all she constantly seeks the Lord and His Word for wisdom and guidance as she mothers.
I want to say happy mothers day to one of the best mothers I know. It has been a long time, weve been through a lot and I can definitely say I know the character of Stacy. It is with full conviction that I submit that Stacy is a Proverbs 31 woman!
Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

P.S. She is also really good at multitasking!
