Rejoicing in Hope

• Aug. 18, 2006 - Does your morality determine your theology?

I was at a conference recently where the statement was made that your morality determines your theology. Just think about that for a minute.

Many people don’t want to believe in God because they would also have to believe in sin. Even Christians sometimes misinterpret the Scripture because of their pride, prejudice, or self-sufficiency.

Ezekiel 12:2 says rebellion can make you blind and deaf to the word of God.

“Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear; for they are a rebellious house.”

Interesting, so what does that say about the church in general. It seems that there is as much sin in our churches as there is in the world. It has, at times, brought a heavy and tearful heart to me as I pray for the body of Christ. Just stopping by to say hello today. You have a very thought provoking blog.
