Help for ADHD
|
My son has struggled with ADHD his whole life. He has always had a very hard time slowing his brain and his body down to focus! We have tried a couple of prescription medications and they did work but I hated having him take them. Although we used the non-stimulant medication, they still had side effects. I have been looking for a natural way to help him. We have tried special diets, special supplements but they were all so complicated and hard to be consistant with. But recently I found a natural supplement that is a mixture of many different vitamins and natural supplements that works so well we were able to get him off the prescription medication! It is called Attend. We found it at our local natural vitamin store. I am not advertizing in any way. I just had to share this in case anyone else is looking for a natural way to help ADHD. We just started it last week and already, I can tell that it works. Does anyone else have other natural ways to help ADHD that is not too compicated they would like to share?

Try the failsafe diet. It works. There is a website at www.fedup.com.au and the author Sue Dengate (Her husband was actually diagnosed with ADHD) also has a number of books on the effects food has on a number of conditions - ADD, ADHD, ODD, autism, asthma...
On my desk at the moment is a copy of 'Fed up with ADHD' by Dengate and it's brilliant. None of my children have been actually diagnosed with ADHD, but a couple of months ago we found out that Savannah was sensitive to salicylates, so we cut down on them in our diet. Then two nights ago I was tired and just had a frozen lasagna for tea. The next day, Jasmine was in constant tears, Jaidyn was fighting over every single toy and Savannah got so bad she actually started hitting me. And then straight away denied it.
Food chemicals have a huge effect on our kids, and the food companies don't want us to know about it.

I have a book that is called "Healing ADD the Breakthrough Program That Allows You to See and Heal the 6 types of ADD" by Daniel G. Amen, M.D. I just started reading it, but already I am hopeful.
