Walking on the Road Less Traveled

Dec. 16, 2005 - What's on Your Plate Today?

Today is our last day of official *schooling* before we take off for the Christmas season.  We need to finish up our unit on dogs and reach a stopping point with phonics and math.  Yesterday my 2nd child was absent from official school as he was busy helping Daddy, so he has more work to finish than the other three dc do.  Which is not a good thing, as he is my dawdler.

I'd also like to give the house a good once-over today, finish the picture calendars we are giving the grandparents for Christmas, and do the last couple loads of laundry.

On Friday evenings, we have a family night with our dc.  During Advent, we are doing our Advent devotions, making a Christmas tree ornament, snacking on a special treat and watching a Christmas movie together.  So I need to get the need craft supplies together, make a special dessert treat, and find a Christmas movie today as well.

It seems the day is shaping up and filling out rather quickly.  :)  What are you doing today?

We did a little more Christmas shopping today. The boys needed to pick up some gifts for daddy and grandparents. We didn't get it all done though...which means we'll be shopping the few days before Christmas. Have I mentioned that I don't like to be in the stores after Thanksgiving...let alone 2-3 days before Christmas? Blah..
