Cirque Jungle Dreams

This past weekend we ventured up to Anchorage to see Cirque Jungle.  It was a fun-filled trip!  We went with my sister-in-law (Lauri), my nephew Spencer, and the Jackson's kids Sullivan and Celina.  All of us in my brother's Durango.  It was comfortable but cozy.  THEN Lauri decided to buy some MONGO-HUGE planters for my brother's office - about 2 1/2 feet diameter!  The kids had to hug them in their seats for 2 full days - in and out every time.  They were troopers about it - I kept thinking we were going to meet up with my friends, the Birds and pass off some of our packages to them....and so I kept saying, "This is the last time you have to hold those planters", and then we'd get in and I'd say it again!  Finally, we really did pass them off right before we left Anchorage to head home!

We stayed at a hotel with a pool, ordered pizza and ate the hotel's fresh cooked chocolate chip cookies.  The kids had a ball, and they all thoroughly enjoyed Cirque Jungle, even Spencer who slept through a very short portion (he played too hard in the pool the night before).  Madison like the contortionists the best and wants to learn how!  She is rather flexible, but I don't think a career of contortioning is in her future! 

We are wrapping up the homeschooling for this year - it has been a great year of learning for both of us.  My favorite was History, hers was Math - gotta love that kid! :)

Thanks again for taking the kiddos. They had a BLAST!!!

Whadya think of next weekend? (like the 2nd and 3rd?) I was thinking of asking you a BIG favor. What if you spent two nights, but one of them Tony and I asked you to babysit so we could have a "mini-moon"? Think on it. Either way, you guys are invited out that weekend.
